GT. BARRINGTON—Palan P. Miller, 88 of Ancram, passed away Thursday August 5, 2010 at Fairview Hospital in Great Barrington, MA.

He was born October 13, 1921 in Great Barrington, the son of the late Palan P. and Hattie (Brandt) Miller.

 

A lifelong local resident, Mr. Miller worked at the former A.C. Bristol Lumber and Supply Company in Copake and later at the Kimberly—Clark Corporation in Ancram.

Mr. Miller had a love of the outdoors and enjoyed tending to his garden and flowers. An avid hunter and fisherman, he loved all animals including chickens, horses and his various hunting dogs that he owned over the years.

Survivors include his daughter, Linda Jennings and son, Lance Miller, both of Hillsdale. He also leaves four grandchildren, Lorinda Alexander of Hudson, Richard Jennings of Copake, Sarah Miller of Hudson and Nicole Miller of Copake; and three great grandchildren, Renee, Richard and Thomas.

Private funeral services will be held Tuesday August 10, 2010 at the Peck and Peck Funeral Home, Copake.

Interment will follow in the Copake Cemetery.
