HUDSON–Two city men were charged in connection with a fight with weapons on the 800 block of Prison Alley, August 17 at 12:06 p.m.
Brian K. Fields, 20, and Michael Snyder, 19, were each charged with second degree assault and fourth degree criminal possession of a weapon by Hudson Police Officer Jason Hoffman. Mr. Snyder was additionally charged with disorderly conduct.
Police went to the area of 14 Eighth Street to investigate a report about “a large fight involving weapons,” according to Hudson Police Lieutenant Richard Paolino.
Officers found that the fight had moved up Prison Alley, where one person was stabbed and several men were bleeding.
Police say that Mr. Fields, who started to walk away when police arrived, allegedly had a knife and stabbed Mr. Snyder, inflicting a puncture wound to his arm.
Mr. Snyder was initially charged with disorderly conduct for allegedly engaging in the fight, but was later charged with assault and weapon possession after police learned that he allegedly struck a 24-year-old woman with a 2-by-4-inch piece of wood. The woman suffered bruising and swelling to her legs for which she sought medical attention at Columbia Memorial Hospital.
During arraignment in City Court before Judge Richard Koweek, Mr. Fields was sent to jail in lieu of $2,500 cash bail or $5,000 bail bond. Mr. Snyder was also arraigned, but further information about his court appearance was not available from police.
*Leonard L. Wolcott Jr, 36, of Hudson was charged with third degree assault on an arrest warrant by Officer Rodney Waithe, August 19 at 10 a.m.
Mr. Wolcott allegedly choked a 23-year-old woman and pushed her into a box and a fan.
He was held for arraignment.
*Scottie L. Branton, 19, of Hudson was charged with second degree assault on an arrest warrant by Officer David Miller, August 19 at 6:22 p.m.
Mr. Branton allegedly punched a 19-year-old woman in the face with his fist, causing a fracture to a bone in the right side of her face August 18.
He was held for arraignment.
*Tyrell A. Butler, 27, of Hudson was charged with second degree unlawful imprisonment and second degree harassment by Officer Daniel Scali, August 27 at 2:32 p.m.
Mr. Butler allegedly slapped a 28-year-old woman in the face several times and pushed her several times in an effort to prevent her from leaving a residence.
Mr. Butler was arraigned in City Court and released.
*Robin M. Fulton, 48, of Hudson was charged with endangering the welfare of a child by Officer William Wrigley August 15 at 7:33 p.m.
During an argument with another person, Ms. Fulton allegedly threw a one-year-old girl out the front door, August 12 at 10 p.m., according to Lieutenant Paolino.
A third party, who happened to be outside the door caught the child and prevented her from going off the porch.
*An 11-year-old boy, not identified by police, was charged with second degree burglary and petit larceny by Officer Daniel Scali, August 25 at 12:03 p.m.
The boy allegedly entered a woman’s home on Dodge Street and took an Xbox 360 video game, a Samsung digital camera and a one-liter bottle of Bacardi rum, August 9.
The boy was issued a juvenile appearance ticket directing him to report to the Columbia County Probation Department.
*William H. Young Jr., 54, of Ancramdale, was charged with seventh degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and having an inadequate plate lamp by Officer Jason Finn during a traffic stop on the 300 block of Warren Street, August 17 at 11:58 p.m.
Upon approaching the vehicle, police say they saw drug paraphernalia in the vehicle and found crack cocaine.
Mr. Young was issued a ticket to appear in City Court.
*Savanna M. Palladino, 20, of Hopewell Junction was charged with third degree criminal mischief by Officer Dean Rowe, August 30 at 10:50 a.m.
Ms. Palladino allegedly smashed the screen of a 46-inch Samsung flat-screen television with her hands during an argument, August 6. She turned herself in at the police station.
*Angela D. Foster, 30, of Albany was charged with second degree criminal impersonation and third degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle on an arrest warrant by Officer Jason Finn, August 27 at 8:32 a.m.
When pulled over by police May 25 at 1:42 a.m., Ms. Foster allegedly identified herself as her sister in order to avoid being arrested for driving with a suspended driver’s license.
