Brian Briggs, 50, sports fan

CLAVERACK–Brian K. Briggs, 50, died Thursday, September 17, 2009 at his residence.

     Born April 22, 1959 in Stuyvesant, he was the son of Margaret Briggs of Claverack

and the late Sherwood C. Briggs.

    Mr. Briggs was a gas station attendant for Sunoco in Hudson before becoming disabled.

    He was an avid Yankee and Giants fan and enjoyed watching car racing. He was a

social member of the Stottville VFW.

    In addition to his mother, surviving are his wife, Joyce (Brazie) Briggs of Chatham;

his son, Shane Briggs of Stuyvesant; two daughters, Alyssa and Kristine Briggs, both

of Spencertown; one brother, Henry Briggs of Hudson; one sister, Deborah Briggs

of Livingston; three stepchildren, Sara Novack, Bryan Brazie, and Justin Bower,

and several nieces and nephews.

    His sister Linda Briggs died previously.

    Calling hours will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the Bates & Anderson – Redmond & Keeler Funeral Home, 110 Green Street, Hudson.

 

Services and burial will be at the convenience of the family.
