COPAKE–Joseph Venturino, 45, passed away on Wednesday November 18, 2009 at his residence.
He was born on June 20, 1964 in Bronx, the son of the late Anthony Venturino and Catherine (Dell – Angelo) Venturino Kimmerle.
A lifelong local resident, Mr. Venturino was a graduate of Taconic Hills Central School, class of 1983.
He had been employed as a machinist with the Pfizer Corp. in Canaan, Conn., and as a driver for Arnoff Moving and Storage. Most recently he had worked as a driver for Albany Transport based out of Greenport.
An avid hunter and fisherman, Mr. Venturino was a lifetime member and former captain of the Craryville Fire Company #1. He was also a longtime volunteer for the Community Rescue Squad.
Survivors include his wife, April L. (Shufelt) Venturino of Copake; his son Joseph M. Venturino Jr. of Copake and his daughter Crystal M. Venturino of Ancramdale. He also leaves his three grandchildren, Hunter E. Harrison, Alexia D. Venturino and Trinity F. Hawver, along with several extended family member and friends.
Arrangements are with the Peck and Peck Funeral , Route 22 in Copake.
His funeral service will be held Saturday November 21, 2009 at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. Joseph Falletta, pastor of Our Lady of Hope officiating.
Burial will follow in Old St. Bridget’s Cemetery, Copake Falls.
