Ann Hanway, 80, worked at the Firemen’s Home

HUDSON–Ann M. Hanway, 80, died Saturday, December 12, 2009 at her residence.

Born March 15, 1929 in Hudson, she was the daughter of the late Josephand Giacomina (Boemi) Tripodi.

She was a graduate of Hudson High School and a lifelong area resident.

Mrs. Hanway was employed in the housekeeping department at the Firemen’s Home in Hudson.

She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Paul and Kathleen Hanway of Hudson and Thomas J. Hanway and Darlene Hatcher-Hanway of Colorado; four granddaughters, Chrystine and Cara Hanway, both of Colorado, and Charley and Brittany Decker, both of Hudson; her brother, Joseph Tripodi of Maryland; and many nieces and nephews.

Her husband, Thomas F. Hanway, and her sisters died previously.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Mary’s Church, 429 East Allen Street, Hudson.

Burial will be in Cedar Park Cemetery.

Arrangements are with the Bates & Anderson – Redmond & Keeler Funeral Home, 110 Green Street, Hudson.

Contributions may be made to the Columbia Greene Humane Society, the American Cancer Society, or St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
