Walter Egnasher, 90, lifelong resident

VALATIE–Walter W. Egnasher, 90, a lifelong resident, passed away at home surrounded by family on December 13, 2009. Born in Stuyvesant Falls, he was the son of the late Joseph, Sr. and Agnes Egnasher. 

He retired from Chemtron Corp. in Stuyvesant Falls, after 37 years of service.

Mr. Egnasher’s wife,  Anastasia Egnasher, and son Roger W. Egnasher died previously.

Survivors include daughters Marcia Adee and  Theresa (Mark) Irish, both of Kinderhook;  Kathi Egnasher of Cohoes, Albany County; sons  James (Anne Marie) Egnasher, of Stuyvesant Falls and David (Helen) Egnasher of Kinderhook; 10 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great- grandchildren and one brother, Bernard Egnasher of Valatie.

 A special thanks to Dr. William Caramore and the Columbia-Greene hospice nurses.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, 11 a.m. at St John the Baptist Church in Valatie with Rev. John Molyn officiating.

Burial will be in St. John’s Cemetery followed by a reception at St. John’s parish hall.
