CLAVERACK—A 24-year-old Wappingers Falls man was killed this morning in a crash on a snowy road.

Daniel Edmondson was driving his car northbound on Route 9H at about 8 a.m. when he crossed over the center of the road into the path of a southbound flatbed truck, State Police at Livingston said. The driver of the truck, Norman Morrison Jr., 45, was taken to Columbia Memorial Hospital, where police said he is being treated for neck, back and rib injuries. The truck is owned by Columbia Tractor.

Claverack Firefighters and the Greenport Rescue Squad responded. Columbia County Coroner Angelo Nero pronounced Mr. Edmonson dead at the scene.

Route 9H was closed for approximately 3 hours while State Police Collision Reconstruction Unit and Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Units assisted BCI investigators and Troopers at the scene .
