COLUMBIAVILLE–Isabel J. McGlauflin, 88, died Friday January 1, 2010, at her residence.
Born in Valatie, September 21, 1921, she was the daughter of the late Howard and Erma (Decker) Knights.
Mrs. McGlauflin was a Nurse’s Aid at Barnwell in Valatie for many years. She was a prayerful member of St. Luke’s Lutheran Church in Valatie who loved and enjoyed her family, bird watching, crocheting, needlework, Cape Cod, Sacandaga Lake and deer runs.
She is the beloved mother of Dennis McGlauflin (Carol) of Schenectady, Janis McGlauflin of Columbiaville, Timothy McGlauflin (Cathy) of Coeymans Hollow and Terri Wheeler (Michael) of Schenectady; and blessed with many grandchildren, Joyan, Denise, Michael, Dennis Jr ., “GB” John, Aaron, Zachary, Rebecca, Matthew, Shannon, Tamara and 10 great grandchildren.
Her husband of 49 years, John McGlauflin; brothers Howard and Wesley Knights; sisters Alice Van De Wal, Janice Knights, Donna Dauski; and grandsons Shane and Tyler McGlauflin, died previously.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. from St. Luke’s Lutheran Church, Valatie with Rev. James Slater officiating. Burial will be in Prospect Hill Cemetery, Valatie.
Friends may call Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Raymond E. Bond Funeral Home, Inc., Route 9, Valatie.

People attending the funeral are encouraged to bring non-perishable food items for the Food Pantry in her memory.
