LIVINGSTON–Carmine DelPozzo, 103, of Germantown died Thursday January 21, 2010 at the Livingston Hills Nursing Home.
Born December 11, 1906 in New York City, he was the son of the late: Ralph and Rose (Sabino) DelPozzo.
Mr. DelPozzo was a self-employed mason contractor and owner of the Hudson Valley Plasterers of Germantown, worked as a security guard at Iron Mountain in Livingston and assisted his son in the operation of Ralph’s Sport Center of Germantown.
He was a member of the Holy Trinity Parish Church of the Resurrection of Germantown and a life member of the Elks Club of Hudson. A loving father and grandfather, he enjoyed gardening and reading.
Surviving are his two sons and daughters-in-law, Ralph and Nancy DelPozzo and Victor and Dorothy DelPozzo. all of Germantown; two daughters and sons-in-law, Rose Marie and Paul Meacher and Vera and Thomas Colwell all of Germantown; 14 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren.
His wife, Caroline “Lena” DelPozzo, died February 25, 2003 and one granddaughter, Renee DelPozzo, died November 24,1990.
Calling hours will be 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday at the Yadack-Fox Funeral Home of Germantown.
Funeral services will be held at 9:30 a.m. Monday from the funeral home and 10 a.m. at the Church of the Resurrection of Germantown, where a Mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrated.
Burial will follow in the Reformed Church Cemetery of Germantown
