HUDSON–Gary D. Knapp, 25, residing at the Columbia County Jail, was charged on an arrest warrant for first degree criminal sex act by Officer David Miller, January 28 at 9:08 a.m.
Mr. Knapp allegedly sexually assaulted a seven-year-old girl at a State Street residence in April 2006. He has been the subject of an investigation by Child Protective Services and Hudson Police detectives since 2007.
He was arraigned and jailed in lieu of $500,000 cash bail or $1 million bail bond.
*Gaetano Aleo, 46, of Greenville was charged with six counts of fourth degree grand larceny and six counts of issuing a bad check by Officer Rodney Waithe, January 25 at 3:26 p.m.
Mr. Aleo allegedly wrote six checks knowing he did not have sufficient funds to cover them. For each check, he allegedly received more than $1,000 worth of food and goods from area businesses in 2009. Total losses sustained by the businesses including banking fees and other charges was $16,462.85.
Mr. Aleo turned himself in at the Hudson Police Station on an active arrest warrant for the charges. He was arraigned and held in lieu of $1,000 cash bail or $2,000 bail bond.
*Aquintis J. Dempsey, 19, of Hudson was charged with second degree assault by Officer Daniel Scali, January 22 at 9:28 a.m.
Mr. Dempsey allegedly punched a 14-year-old in the face, breaking the teenager’s nasal and temporal bones. The incident occurred on school grounds.
He was arraigned and released.
*David M. Warfield Jr, 43, of Hudson was charged with third degree assault and third degree criminal mischief by Officer Jacob Hoffman, January 25 at 12:02 a.m.
Mr. Warfield allegedly punched a woman in the face several times at a Green Street residence and intentionally caused more than $250 worth of damage to her property. The Greenport Rescue Squad took the woman to Columbia Memorial Hospital for treatment of her injuries.
Mr. Warfield was arraigned and sent to jail without bail.
*Steven J. Rodriguez, 18, of Craryville was charged with third degree assault and second degree criminal trespass by Officer Nicholas Hodges, January 30 at 4:17 p.m.
Mr. Rodriguez allegedly argued with a woman in an apartment, then closed a door on her and caused a window to break.
He was arraigned and released.
*Casey M. Hanlon, 34, of Hudson was charged with second degree burglary and third degree attempted assault by Officer Brent Rowe, January 19 at 10:22 a.m.
Ms. Hanlon allegedly broke through a glass door at 447 State Street and entered a woman’s apartment intending to harm the woman.
She was arraigned and released.
*Rabeem Jamar Randolph, 29, of Hudson was charged with second degree obstruction of governmental administration and endangering the welfare of a child by Officer Christopher Filli, January 19 at 8:28 p.m.
Mr. Randolph allegedly interfered with police officers who were trying to arrest someone by using his children to assist in hiding the wanted person. Mr. Randolph allegedly told his four- and five-year-old sons not to tell police were the wanted person was and to sit on the bed under which the wanted person was hiding.
He was held for arraignment.
*Derrik J. Zigler, was charged with endangering the welfare of a child, petit larceny and second degree harassment by Officer William Wrigley, January 19 at 7:56 p.m.
Mr. Zigler allegedly pushed a child down, punched a woman in the face and took money from her.
He was held for arraignment.
*Tina Marie Brandt, 26, of Hudson was charged with endangering the welfare of a child and second degree harassment by Officer Jeffrey Keyser, January 19 at 8:01 p.m.
Ms. Brandt was charged on an active arrest warrant because she allegedly punched a woman in the right side of the face in the presence of the woman’s two children in December 2009.
She was held for arraignment.
*Sahtise S. Green, 23, of Hudson was charged with fourth degree criminal mischief by Officer Nicolas Pierro, January 23 at 12:51 p.m.
Mr. Green allegedly grabbed a woman’s cell phone and threw it, causing the phone to become inoperable and preventing the woman from calling police.
He was arraigned and released.
*Johannes Hauke, 21, of Copake was charged with indecent exposure, a violation of City Code by Officer Dean Rowe, January 31 at 1:40 a.m.
Mr. Hauke was seen allegedly urinating in the gangway between 518 and 520 Warren Street in plain view of pedestrian and vehicle traffic. He was issued an appearance ticket.
Alcohol
The following face alcohol-related charges:
*Charles H. Nuss, 23, of Spencertown was charged with driving while intoxicated, having a blood alcohol content greater than .08% and illegal signal by Officer Jeffrey Keyser during a traffic stop at 718 Columbia Street, January 31 at 1:14 a.m. He was held for arraignment.
*Darlene Butterworth, 54, of Hudson was charged with driving while intoxicated and unsafe backing by Officer Jeffrey Keyser at 537 Warren Street, January 23 at 9:09 p.m. She was released to a third party.
