Edward Allers, 66, well-known carpenter and builder

GERMANTOWN–Edward Allers, 66, life-long resident, died unexpectedly Wednesday, February 10, at his home.

Born December 3, 1943 in Hudson, he was the son of the late Adolph and Bertha (Bergerhoff) Allers.

Mr. Allers, a loving father and grandfather, was a well-known self-employed carpenter and builder in Germantown. He was a race car fan and antique car buff and he had served in the National Guard in the 1960s.

Survivors include his daughter, Amanda Allers and her partner, Shannon Redmond, of Catskill; two sons, Aaron Allers and Nathan and his wife, Harmony, all of Hudson; and one brother, Adolph Allers, and sister, Margaret Daniels, both of Germantown. Mr. Allers was Opa to his granddaughter, Isabel. In addition nephews and nieces survive.

A celebration of Mr. Aller’s life will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. Saturday at the Yadack-Fox Funeral Home of Germantown.

Private cremation will be at the Cedar Hill Crematory of Newburgh.
