Suzanne DeJoy, lifelong Greenport resident

GREENPORT–Suzanne Jane Havlik DeJoy, lifelong area resident, died Friday February 12, 2010 at her home. She was 67.

Born in Stockport  September 14, 1942, she was the daughter of the late Joseph Havlik and  Clara Havlik Silcock.

Mrs. DeJoy attended St. Mary’s Academy in Hudson and was a baker for Price Chopper in Greenport since 1999.

Survivors include her husband, Patrick DeJoy of Greenport;  one daughter, Lisa Marie and Robert Perez; brothers  Joseph Jr. and (Judy) Havlik of Marietta, Ga., Robert and (Stephanie) Havlik of Apex, N.C., Timothy and (Tammy) Havlik of Craryville, John Jr. and Stacy Silcock of Hudson; sisters Patricia and (John) Rutkey of Hudson, Janet and (Tony) Formichelli of Poughkeepsie, Paula and (Bill) Taylor of Hudson; as well as several aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews.

Her  brother Thomas Havlik and her step-father, John Silcock Sr., died previously.

Calling hours will be Wednesday, February 17, from 7 to 9 p.m. at McDonald-Valenti-Richards Funeral Home, 700 Town Hall Drive, Hudson, with a memorial service beginning at 8 p.m. with Pastor Mark McDarby officiating. Burial will be private at Cedar Park Cemetery.

Memorial contributions are requested to the American Heart Association.
