Kathleen “Kathy” Potts, 50, member of the Clermont Fire Co. Auxiliary

CLERMONT–Kathleen “Kathy” Potts, 50, died Monday February 15, 2010 surrounded by her loving  family at her home after a long illness.

Mrs. Potts was born October 29, 1959 in Stamford, Conn., a daughter of Peter G. and Jeannett M. Jennings of Clermont.

Mrs. Potts, who enjoyed the outdoors, was a member of Christ Lutheran Church of Viewmont and the Clermont Fire Company Auxiliary. Prior to her illness she had been employed at Taconic Farms in Germantown for many years.

In addition to her parents, she is survived by her husband, Bruce Potts of Clermont; her brothers Peter G. Jennings Jr. of Clermont and Scott C. Jennings of  Linlithgo; sisters Linda DeLaurentis of Clermont, Debbie Krein of Mellenville and Krista Scibelli of Red Hook; aunt and uncle Mike and Mary Smeriglio of Morris, Conn.; and many nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Yadack-Fox Funeral Home of Germantown.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday from Christ Lutheran Church of Viewmont, the Rev. Mark Frickey, pastor, officiating.

Burial will follow in the Viewmont Rural Cemetery of Clermont.
