POUGHKEEPSIE–William G. Simmons, 58, of Germantown, died Wednesday, February 17, 2010 at Vassar Brother’s Medical Center after a long illness.

Mr. Simmons was born May 26, 1951 in Saugerties, a son of the late Arthur and Lila (Bell) Simmons.

Most of his career he worked as a bartender at Villa Camisa. He enjoyed every aspect of life to its fullest.

Surviving are his partner in life, Claire Camisa of Germantown; step daughters Antonia Remsen of Port Ewen and Maria Miller of Saugerties; two brothers, Andrew Simmons of Saugerties and Gene Camisa of Germantown; three beloved grandchildren, Kole, Cross, Alex; and a niece, Jessica.

Calling hours are 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. today, Saturday, at the Yadack-Fox Funeral home of Germantown.

Prayer services will be 7:30 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home with the Rev. Theodore Gerken officiating.
