HUDSON–Marquice J. Lee, 21, of Hudson was charged with resisting arrest, seventh degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and fifth degree criminal possession of marijuana (25 grams) by Officer Rodney Waithe, March 20 at 2:49 a.m.
While investigating a report about a man and woman arguing in the park at the corner of North Seventh and State streets, police say they interviewed Mr. Lee. During the interview, Mr. Lee allegedly attempted to pull a knife out of his pocket, and police say they saw what looked like marijuana in his pocket.
Police say Mr. Lee had a small, clear plastic bag containing a white powdery substance that field-tested positive for cocaine, and 24 small, clear plastic bags containing a green leafy substance that field-tested positive for marijuana and which weighed more than 25 grams.
When police attempted to take Mr. Lee into custody he allegedly took a swing at an officer, then tried to flee on foot.
Mr. Lee is on parole with the state Department of Corrections.
When he was 16, Mr. Lee pleaded guilty to third degree burglary November 30, 2005 as part of plea deal with the district attorney in connection with the Henry Gropp murder case. He was sentenced January 18, 2006 to an indeterminate term in state prison, having a maximum of 7 years and a minimum of 2 1/3 years.
Mr. Lee was arraigned on the most recent charges in City Court and was jailed in lieu of $5,000 cash bail or $10,000 bail bond.
In a related incident, Sarah L. Hampton, 20, of Hudson was charged with second degree obstruction of governmental administration by Officer Brent Rowe.
Ms. Hampton allegedly jumped in to try to prevent police from arresting Mr. Lee. She was issued an appearance ticket.
*Patrice C. Britton, 52, of Hudson was charged with third degree assault by Officer Nicolas Pierro, February 22 at 10:49 p.m.
Ms. Britton allegedly bit a 26-year-old woman on the shoulder blade, breaking the skin and leaving a bruise at a Columbia Street address.
She was arraigned and released.
*Allen J. Maimone, 22, of Ravena was charged with third degree attempted assault, fourth degree criminal mischief and four counts of endangering the welfare of a child by Officer David Miller, February 28 at 7:30 p.m.
Mr. Maimone allegedly repeatedly hit a person in the face and broke the door to that person’s apartment at 510 State Street while in the presence of that person’s four youngsters.
Mr. Maimone was arraigned and held in lieu of $500 cash bail or $1,000 bail bond.
*Timothy W. Snyder, 22, of Hudson was charged on warrants for fourth degree grand larceny and a violation of parole by Officers Dean Rowe and James Nero, March 15 at 3:30 p.m.
Mr. Snyder allegedly stole $1,500 from a 23-year-old man at a Warren Street residence in January.
He was held on the parole violation warrant.
*Christopher H. Freeman, 48, of Hudson was charged with second degree criminal trespass by Officer James Nero, March 14 at 2:02 p.m.
Mr. Freeman allegedly entered an apartment unlawfully.
He was issued an appearance ticket for City Court.
*Christopher E. See, 26, of Hudson was charged with third and fourth degree criminal mischief and second degree harassment by Officer Jacob Hoffman, February 20 at 9:18 a.m.
Mr. See allegedly pulled a woman around by her hair and damaged her property at a South Front Street address February 13.
*David N. Moore, 27, of Hudson was charged with fourth degree criminal mischief and second degree criminal contempt by Officer Randy Clarke, February 20 at 8:15 p.m.
Mr. Moore allegedly destroyed property at a Columbia Street address and got into a fight with a person he was directed by a court order of protection to stay away from. He was arraigned and released.
*Selha Graham-Cora, 31, of Hudson was charged with second degree harassment and third degree criminal mischief by Officer Nicholas Hodges, March 2 at 11:16 p.m.
Ms. Graham-Cora allegedly pulled a woman’s hair and damaged her vehicle during a fight near 453 State Street. She was issued appearance tickets.
*Tasheem Lloyd, 19, of Hudson was charged with fourth degree criminal mischief by Officer William Wrigley, February 11 at 3:52 p.m.
Mr. Lloyd allegedly broke a mirror at a Prospect Street residence during a dispute.
He was arraigned and released.
Mr. Lloyd was again charged with fourth degree criminal mischief, this time by Officer Nicholas Hodges, February 21 at 10:51 p.m.
Mr. Lloyd allegedly broke property at a Prospect Street residence during a fight. He was arraigned and held on $200 cash bail or $400 bail bond.
*Demetrius Amakar, 40, of Yonkers was charged with false personation, a violation of parole and unlawful possession of marijuana by Officer Jason Finn, February 27 at 10:52 p.m.
Police came in contact with Mr. Amakar at 421 Cherry Alley at which time he allegedly identified himself by a false name to avoid being charged on an outstanding parole warrant. He also allegedly had marijuana. He was jailed on the warrant.
*Harvey N. Thomas, 48, of Hudson was charged with disorderly conduct (obstructing traffic) on the 200 block of Warren Street by Officer Kevin Sweet, February 17.
Mr. Thomas allegedly walked in the westbound lane of traffic, causing a westbound motorist to swerve into the eastbound lane attempting not to hit him. Police say Mr. Thomas was intoxicated at the time.
Mr. Thomas was issued a ticket to appear in court at a later date.
*Keilah Bieler, 22, of Philmont was charged with second degree criminal impersonation and second degree obstruction of governmental administration by Officer Nicolas Pierro, February 21 at 6:39 p.m.
Ms. Bieler allegedly gave officers a false name and date of birth to avoid getting someone in trouble for violating a court order of protection.
She was issued an appearance ticket.
*Katie M. Kusewich, 23, of Hudson was charged with third degree falsely reporting an incident by Officer Jacob Hoffman, February 23 at 9:32 a.m.
Ms. Kusewich allegedly gave police a false report about a domestic incident February 13. She was issued a ticket to appear in court.
Drugs and alcohol
The following face drug- and/or alcohol-related charges:
*Angilique Bernstein, 45, of Craryville was charged with aggravated driving while intoxicated (child in vehicle), driving while ability impaired by drugs, drinking alcohol in a motor vehicle on the highway and making an improper turn by Officer Nicolas Pierro, March 8 at 6:24 p.m. Police say she had an open can of Twisted Tea, an alcoholic beverage, and a 15-year-old was a passenger in the vehicle. She was arraigned and released on her own recognizance.
*Nathan J. Scalera, 30, of Hudson was charged with driving while intoxicated (first offense), operating a motor vehicle with a blood alcohol content greater than .08% and inadequate muffler by Officer Christopher Filli during a traffic stop on the 600 block of Warren Street, March 2 at 10:28 p.m. He was issued appearance tickets and released.
