Shirley Kipp, 50, had a heart of gold

CLAVERACK–Shirley E. Kipp, 50, a lifelong resident of the Churchtown-Hollowville area, died unexpectedly Tuesday, March 16, 2010 at her home.

Born March 10, 1960 in Hudson, she was the beloved daughter of Homer Wentzel of Craryville and the late Augusta (Tomlin) Wentzel.

She was a graduate of Taconic Hills Central School.

She was a member of Columbia County ABATE and an ardent animal lover.

Mrs. Kipp was the beloved mother of Katelynn Kipp and Shannan Kipp; wife of David Kipp; devoted daughter of Homer Wentzel; loving sister of Katherine “Katie” Hoefer and Julie Tompkins, and special aunt to many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her mother, two sisters, Mildred Bink and Margaret Propst, died previously.

Memorial services will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday at the Bates & Anderson – Redmond & Keeler Funeral Home, 110 Green Street, Hudson..
