State Police investigate serious crash

CHATHAM—Two people were airlifted to the Albany Medical Center following a crash involving three Rensselaer County residents on County Route 13, April 1 at 5:45 p.m.
New Lebanon State Police report that Ryan Marshall of Castleton was driving a Jeep Liberty north when he attempted to turn left into the Old Chatham Tennis Club driveway and was struck from behind by a Harley Davidson motorcycle.
The motorcycle operator, Michael Dwileski and his passenger, Jennifer Signer, both of Nassau, were taken to AMC by helicopter.
Police say Mr. Dwileski is in guarded condition with a back injury and Ms. Signer is in critical condition with pelvic and lower leg injuries.
The cause of the crash is still under investigation and so far, no one has been charged.
Tri-Village firefighters, the Chatham and Greenport rescue squads were on scene.
