Charles Wloch, 67, outdoorsman enjoyed hunting, camping

CLAVERACK–Charles S. Wloch, 67, passed away Monday, April 5, 2010 at his residence.

 

Born in Hudson on April 6, 1942, he was the son of the late Charles and Katherine (Roetina) Wloch.

 

Mr. Wloch was employed in the production department at IBM in Poughkeepsie for over 20 years.

 

He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting and camping.

 

Mr. Wloch was a member of the Federation of Polish Sportsmen Club, the Churchtown Rod and Gun Club, the Glencadia Rod and Gun Club and a life member of the Hudson Elks Club.

 

He was a lifelong area resident.

 

Mr. Wloch was the beloved father and father-in-law of Cynthia and Leonard Van Alphen of Claverack; devoted grandfather of Dustin and Olivia Van Alphen, both of Claverack, and Serena Fuller of Churchtown; loving brother and brother-in-law of Daniel and Marie Wloch of Valatie and David and Gloria Wloch of New Jersey, and special uncle to many nieces and nephews.

 

His wife, Patricia (Grener) Wloch, and his son, Richard C. Wloch, died previously.

 

Visiting hours are 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, April 8, at the Bates & Anderson – Redmond & Keeler Funeral Home, 110 Green Street, Hudson.

 

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.

 

Burial will be in Cedar Park Cemetery in Hudson.
