Mary Hiserodt, 89, co-owned Ancramdale farm

SHARON, Conn.–Mary A. (Farley) Hiserodt, 89, of Ancramdale passed unexpectedly on Saturday April 10, 2010 at Sharon Hospital surrounded by her loving family.

 

She was born September 27, 1920 in Sharon, a daughter of James and Susan (Jones) Farley.

 

Along with her late husband, Kenneth, who died in 1982, they owned and operated the Prarie Farm in Ancramdale until 1974. Until recently, Mrs. Hiserodt was also a family care provider for the Capital District Psychiatric Center for 35 years.

 

Survivors include her daughter, Joan Hiserodt of Ancramdale; her son and daughter in law, Wayne and Maureen Hiserodt of Ancramdale; and her grandchildren, Christopher Hiserodt of Craryville and Amy Jourdin of Ancramdale. Additionally she leaves her great grandchildren, Victoria, Alexandra and Noah along with a sister, Suzanne Churton, of Pine Plains and many loving nieces and nephews.

 

In addition to her husband Kenneth, a sister, Helen Willig and a brother, James Farley, died previously.

 

Funeral services will be held Tuesday April 13, 2010 at 11 a.m. from the Peck & Peck Funeral Home, 7749 S. Main Street in Pine Plains, with the Rev. Leif Erickson of the Ancramdale Prsbyterian Church officiating.

 

Friends are invited and may call Monday April 12, 2010 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.

 

Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Pine Plains.
