Nina Mesick, 80, worked for the Chester Pen Co.

VALATIE–Nina G. Mesick, 80, a resident of Barnwell Health Facilities, died Monday April 12, 2010.

Born in Valatie, March 18, 1930, she was the daughter of the late John G. and Alma (Flouton) Saulpaugh. Mrs. Mesick was a 1950 graduate of Martin H. Glynn School in Valatie and worked for the Chester Pen Co. in Chatham. She was a member of the Christian Community Church in Kinderhook and St. Luke’s Lutheran Church in Valatie.

She is survived by a daughter, Wanda Wilbanks of Florida; a sister, Geraldine Saulpaugh of Albany; three grandsons; and several nieces, nephews, and grand nieces and nephews. Her former husband, Bradley Mesick; a brother, Lawrence W. Saulpaugh; and three sisters, Gloria M. Saulpaugh, Marie Beaupre and Gladys Ingraham, died previously.

Funeral services will be held Friday at 11 a.m. from the Raymond E. Bond Funeral Home, Inc., Route 9, Valatie, with Rev. James Slater officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Niverville. Friends may call Friday from 9:30 to 11 a.m. at the funeral home.
