GREENPORT–Ronald G. Smith Sr., 59, of Greenport died Thursday May 6, 2010 at his home after a long illness.

Born June 11, 1950 in Edwards, he was the son of the late James and Marion (Moore) Smith.

He had been employed as a products technician with Aarons Rentals of Hudson.

Mr. Smith was a devoted husband, father and grandfather who enjoyed deer hunting and motorcycles.

Survivors include his wife, Donna (Parslow) Smith; one son, Ronald (Hope) Smith Jr. of Mt. Marino and daughter, Bonnie Smith of Greenport; three brothers, Raymond (Marjorie) Smith, Robert (Ann) Smith and Lellen (Amy) Smith; one sister, Sue Ellen (Martin) Simmons; five grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

His daughter Melinda Smith, brother Kenneth Smith and sister Virginia Weir died previously.

Calling hours will be 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the Yadack-Fox Funeral Home, Germantown.  Services will be at 11a.m. Monday from the funeral home.

Burial will follow in the Cedar Park Cemetery of Hudson.
