Suzann Fesselmeyer, 89, active in Our Lady of Hope Church

HUDSON- – Suzann Fesselmeyer, 89, of Copake Falls, passed away on Monday, May 12, 2010 at Columbia Memorial Hospital.

She was born on June 18, 1920 in Roxbury, Mass., the daughter of the late George and Rose (Wasp) McCaffery.

Mrs. Fesselmeyer, along with her husband, was owner and operator of Green Acres Tavern in Mahopac.

She was a member of Our Lady of Hope and very active as a RCIA Catechist. She also was a Prayer Chain Coordinator.

Survivors include four daughters, Suzann Christiansen of Clinton Corners, Carol Loring of Copake Falls, Kate Luther of Kingston, Lynn Windhorst of Hudson. She is also survived by seven grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren.

Her husband, Charles J. Fesselmeyer, died January 14, 2005.

Calling hours are 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday, May 16, at the Peck & Peck Funeral Home, 8063 Route 22, Copake.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Monday, May 17, from Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church Copake Falls with Fr. Joseph Falletta officiating.

Burial will follow in New St. Bridget’s Cemetery.
