Mary Ring Danyew, 95, played the church organ

NORTH CHATHAM—Mary Ring Danyew, 95, a lifelong resident of North Chatham, passed away June 13, 2010, at her home.
Born July 16, 1914, she was the daughter of the late John E. and Carrie (Barringer) Ring Sr, and the wife of the late Douglas A. Danyew. They married May 15, 1937. Mrs. Danyew was a graduate of the Kinderhook High School and the Mildred Elley Business School.
Before her retirement, she was a secretary for the Louden Machinery Company. She was a member of the Organ Historical Society and the North Chatham United Methodist Church. For many years, she enjoyed playing the organ for her church and volunteering at the North Chatham Library.
She is survived by her daughter Judy, her son-in-law Gordon Wilson and a sister-in-law Connie Espinal; five grandchildren, Daniel, Stephen, John, Paul and Grace Northrop; six great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews, grand nieces and grand nephews.
In addition to her husband and her parents, Mrs. Danyew was pre-deceased by her two brothers, Donald and John Ring, and her sister Dorothy Ring Wiltse.
A graveside service will take place Tuesday, June 15, 2 p.m. in the North Chatham Church Cemetery. A memorial service will follow at the North Chatham United Methodist Church, Route 203 at 4 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the North Chatham United Methodist Church Memorial Fund.
