Mary G. Dorato, 70, 25-year cashier and Mickey Mouse fan

SCHENECTADY—Mary G. Dorato, 70, of Hawley Road, Niverville died Thursday, July 8, 2010 at Ellis Hospital in Schenectady.
Born in Albany April 24, 1940, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Grace (Bonaventura) Tateo. Mrs. Dorato was a graduate of Philip Schuyler High School in Albany. For 25 years, she worked as a cashier at the Grand Union in Valatie.
She was an avid traveler, Mickey Mouse fan and a loved wife, mother and grandmother.
She is survived by the husband James A. Dorato Sr; four children, Linda Yasinski (William) of Hudson, Grace Germond (Walter) of Middletown, NJ, James A. Dorato Jr. of Canaan and Michele Dorato of Valatie; five grandchildren, Morgon Germond, James A. Dorato III, Alex Germond, Erika Yasinski, Michael Dorato; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was predeceased by her sister, Esther Tateo and her brother, Vito Tateo.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, July 13 from St. John the Baptist Church, Route 9, Valatie, with the Reverend John Molyn officiating. Interment will be in the St. John the Baptist Cemetery.
Friends may call Monday, July 12, 4 to 7 p.m. at the Raymond E. Bond Funeral Home, Route 9, Valatie.
