Frank Peter Nero, 58, owned Hudson beauty shop

HUDSON–Frank Peter Nero a lifelong Hudson resident, died Monday, August 23, 2010 at Community Hospice in Columbia Memorial Hospital. He was 58.

Born in Hudson on February 10, 1952, he was the son of the late Frank P. Nero and Edna Mae (Harvey) Nero of Ghent. He was the owner and operator of Hairy Situations beauty shop and tanning salon on Fairview Avenue in Hudson and was a hairdresser for over 30 years.

Frank was a graduate of Teen Challenge Training Center in Rehrersburg, Penn. on July 31, 1992. He was a member of the New Beginnings Assembly of God Church in upper Red Hook.

Frank will be greatly missed by his loving wife Joann (Dunbar) Nero at home, his mother Edna Mae Nero of Ghent and his daughter Sherri (Carey) Pender of Lee, Fla., as well as sister-in-law Denise Nero of Beverly Hills, Calif. In addition to his father, he was pre-deceased by a brother, Charles Nero.

Calling hours will be on Thursday evening from 5-to-9 p.m. at the McDonald-Valenti-Richards Funeral Home, 700 Town Hall Drive, Hudson. A Memorial service will be on Sunday August 29, 11 a.m. at the New Beginnings Assembly of God Church, 8059 Albany Post Road Red Hook, NY 12571 with Pastor Phillip Behr officiating.
