HUDSON—Elizabeth “Betty” Milroy, 91, of Rhinebeck, died Tuesday, August 31, 2010 at the Community Hospice.

Born September 9, 1918 in Germantown, she was the daughter of the late Paul and Susan (Podmijersky) Estok.

On November 23, 1941, at the Church of the Good Shepherd in Rhinebeck, she married Paul A. Milroy. Mr. Milroy died September 3, 2000.

For 45 years she worked for the Social Security Administration in Poughkeepsie, retiring in 1971 as a supervisor.

Mrs. Milroy was an active member of Third Evangelical Lutheran Church in Rhinebeck, and of the Rhinebeck Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary.

She is survived by a brother, Edward Estok; a sister-in-law, Evelyn Estok; two nephews, Stephen Estok, Jr. and Paul R. Estok, all of Hudson.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, September 3, 2010 at Third Evangelical Lutheran Church, 31 Livingston Street, Rhinebeck. Burial will be at Rhinebeck Cemetery.

Friends may call at the Burnett & White Funeral Home, 91 East Market Street, Rhinebeck, prior to the funeral service from 1 to 2 p.m.
