HUDSON—Marcia A. Fornaci, 58, of Valatie passed away Saturday, October 30, 2010 at Columbia Memorial Hospital.
Born July 7, 1952 in Rhinebeck, she was the daughter of Gilbert C. Lewis of Selkirk and Shirley B. (Breanner) Lewis of Valatie.
She was the wife of the late Charles M. Fornaci.
Mrs. Fornaci was a 1974 graduate from Russell Sage College, Troy, where she received a bachelor degree in science and physical education.
She was employed by Sonoco Crellin Inc. in their customer service department. She was a devoted member of the Mickey Mouse Club since an early age.
Mrs. Fornaci found joy in the simple, fun aspects of being herself. Her favorite things were traveling with her late husband; watching her family and garden grow, her cats frolic, her pond ripple and nature’s butterflies cascade in beauty.
Besides her parents, Mrs. Fornaci is survived by four children, Kenneth Christopher French of Valatie, Valerie Anne Bogdan (John) of Westminster, MD, Jennifer Sue French of Albany and Melissa Renee French of Westminster, MD; a sister, Mira Nolan (Keith) of Selkirk; two grandchildren; and three nieces, Nicole Futia, Brandy Trifiletti (Christopher) and Candace Nolan. She also leaves two of her close friends, Lee and Jean Norton.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, November 3, noon at the Raymond E. Bond Funeral Home, Route 9, Valatie, with the Rev. John Molyn officiating. Burial will follow in the St John the Baptist Cemetery, Valatie. Friends may call from 10 a.m. to noon prior to the service.
