Peggy Austin, 73, faithful servant of the Lord

ALBANY—Peggy Joyce Brown Austin, 73,of Ichabod Lane, Valatie, was called home by her Lord, whom she loved so much Sunday,October 31, 2010 at Albany Memorial Hospital.

Born in Jolo, WV, October 25, 1937, she was the daughter of the late James and Gurtrude (Hopkins) Brown, Jr.

 

She was a faithful servant of the Lord, she held a bachelor’s degree in business and was a published author. She was the matriarch of her large family and inspired to all a life of living in the Holy Spirit.

She is survived by her beloved husband of 53 years Wayne L. Austin; her grateful children, Laurie Austin-Michaud (Walter), Terry L. Austin, Wayne “Sam” Theron Austin (Roberta), Lisa M. Austin, Peggy Lee “Tui” Austin-Oles (Michael); and adoring grandchildren, Jesse, Brandon, lan, Jacob, Dalton, Ethan and Cassidy.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, November 4, 11 a.m. at the First Presbyterian Church, Valatie with the service conducted by the Rev. Kathi Jones and Rev. Nicholas Becker. Interment will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery, Valatie. Friends may call Wednesday, November 3, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Raymond E. Bond Funeral Home, Inc., Route 9, Valatie.
