James Oldrich, 72, worked at Sterling Drug

KINDERHOOK—James J. Oldrich, 72, of Kinney Road, Kinderhook, died Monday, November 8, 2010, at his home.

Born in Hudson, May 1, 1938, he was the son of the late Joseph and Lillian (Brealey) Oldrich.

Mr. Oldrich worked for Sterling Drug in Rensselaer for more than 20 years and retired from Playtex in Watervliet.

He was an avid hunter, trapper and fisherman.

He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Arlene (Isbester) of Kinderhook; two sons, Glenn Oldrich (Jean) of Kinderhook, Ed Oldrich (Cathy) of Valatie; a sister, Lillian Phillips of Stuyvesant Falls; two grandsons, David and Matthew Oldrich; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sister, Evelyn Novak.
Funeral services will be Friday, November 12, 11 a.m. at the Church of St. Joseph, Route 9, Stuyvesant Falls. The Reverend Frank O’Connor will officiate. Interment will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Stuyvesant Falls. There will be no calling hours. Arrangements are with the Raymond E. Bond Funeral Home, Inc., Valatie.
