Grant Platt, 64, systems analyst, Harvard grad

LIVINGSTON—Grant Everett Platt, 64, of Taghkanic, passed away Thursday, November 25, 2010 at Livingston Hills Nursing and Rehab Center.

Born May 17, 1946 in Washington, DC, he was the son of the late John Eugene and Dorothy (Rodenbeck) Platt.

Mr. Platt graduated from Harvard University in 1967.

He was employed as a systems analyst at Donovan Data Systems in Manhattan for his entire career.

Since 1977, Mr. Platt and his wife, Alice, lived in Taghkanic, where they purchased a weekend home. They retired to live there fulltime in 2003.

Surviving in addition to his wife, Alice (Whitener) Platt are three brothers, Jay, Bruce, and Mark Platt; and six nieces and nephews, Jennifer Ostrosky, and Jonathan, Jeremy, Owen, Andrew, and Amanda Platt.

A memorial service will take place Saturday, December 11, 11:30 a.m. at Christ Church Episcopal, 431 Union Street, Hudson.
