HUDSON—A man accused of using a crowbar during a fight in an alley faces several charges brought by Hudson Police.
Lance M. Fongemie, 27, of Hudson was charged with second degree menacing, fourth degree criminal mischief, endangering the welfare of a child, third degree criminal possession of a weapon, first degree attempted assault and second degree harassment by Officer William Wrigley on the 300 block of Long Alley, September 30 at 5:57 p.m.
Hudson Police received a 911 call about a fight in the alley in which the suspect was wielding a crowbar. The suspect, Mr. Fongemie, allegedly threatened the victim with a crowbar, attempted to assault the victim with it and also struck the victim with his fist. He also allegedly broke the victim’s phone. The victim, a 45-year-old Hudson man, was with his 10-year-old daughter at the time.
Arraigned before Judge Richard Koweek, Mr. Fongemie was sent to jail in lieu of $2,500 cash bail or $5,000 bail bond.
*Marcus Eugene Mitchell, 28, of Hudson was charged with third degree assault by Hudson Police Officer Nicolas Pierro at the police station, August 12 at 10:34 a.m.
Mr. Mitchell turned himself in on a Hudson City Court arrest warrant. He allegedly hit a woman during a dispute.
He was arraigned before Judge Richard Koweek and released.
In a separate incident, Mr. Mitchell was charged with second degree criminal contempt, endangering welfare of child and second degree harassment on a Hudson City Court arrest warrant by Hudson Police Officer Jeffrey Keyser at First and Columbia streets, August 23 at 4:03 p.m.
Mr. Mitchell allegedly punched a woman in the face while she was holding an 11-month-old child. There was a valid Columbia County Family Court-issued full-stay-away Order of Protection directing Mr. Mitchell to stay away from the woman at the time.
Arraigned before Judge Koweek, Mr. Mitchell was jailed in lieu of $250 cash bail or $500 bond.
*Andrew T. Conway, 23, of Hudson was charged with third degree assault by Hudson Police Officer Kevin Sweet at 834 Warren Street, August 13 at 11:25 p.m.
Mr. Conway was arrested on a Hudson City Court arrest warrant for allegedly punching someone in the ear and face, as well as, inflicting a sprained right wrist.
At the same time, Mr. Conway was charged with fourth degree criminal mischief and second degree harassment by Hudson Police Officer William Wrigley.
He allegedly punched someone in the face during a dispute on Warren Street, and then allegedly punched a hole in the sheetrock wall in an 834 Warren Street apartment.
Arraigned before City Judge Mark Portin, Mr. Conway was jailed in lieu of $250 cash bail or $500 bond.
*Adam J. Matteson, Jr., 25, of Plattsburgh was charged with first degree criminal contempt (prior conviction within five years) by Officer David C Miller Jr. at 449 Prospect Street, August 17 at 5:22 p.m.
Mr. Matteson allegedly violated a Hudson City Court full-stay-away Order of Protection issued by Judge Mark Portin by going to the protected person’s State Street place of employment.
Arraigned before Judge Portin, Mr. Matteson was sent to jail in lieu of $10,000 cash bail or bail bond.
*Michelle Lee Moskaluk, 22, of Hollowville was charged with second degree criminal contempt at an 82 North Third Street apartment by Officer Nicolas Pierro, August 20 at 10:22 p.m.
Ms. Moskaluk allegedly violated a Court Order of Protection. Police went to the apartment to check out the reported violation but found she had departed. While interviewing the victim at the police station, information was received that Ms. Moskaluk had returned to the apartment. She was found inside and arrested.
Arraigned before Judge Richard Koweek, Ms. Moskaluk was jailed in lieu of $750 cash bail or $1,500 bail bond.
*Anthony Kellar, 70, of Hudson was charged with second degree menacing and fourth degree criminal possession of a weapon by Officer David Miller Jr. at 302 Columbia Street, August 25 at 12:35 a.m.
Mr. Kellar allegedly threatened a 47-year-old man with a handgun during a verbal argument in the street. The handgun was recovered and the suspect was found to have a valid pistol permit.
Mr. Kellar was released with tickets to appear in court at a later date.
*Angelica M. Wright, 31, of Hudson was charged with second degree assault, four counts of endangering the welfare of child and third degree criminal possession weapon by Officer Dean Rowe at a 934 Columbia Street apartment, August 27 at 6:11 p.m.
Police went to the hospital to interview the victim of an assault. Their investigation revealed that the man’s injury was suffered during a dispute. Ms. Wright allegedly struck the man in the left jaw with a glass beer bottle causing a cut to the man’s left cheek. The incident occurred in the presence of four children, ages 1, 2, 2 and 4.
Arraigned before Judge Mark Portin, Ms. Wright was sent to jail in lieu of $2,500 cash bail or $5,000 bond.
She was additionally charged on an August 2008 bench warrant for second degree aggravated harassment and failure to pay a fine.
*David M. Warfield, Jr., 45, of Hudson was charged with second degree unlawful imprisonment and criminal obstruction of breathing/blood circulation by Officer Dean Rowe, September 3 at 2:03 a.m.
Police were called to 191 Green Street by a concerned family member. Mr. Warfield allegedly grabbed a 41-year-old woman with both hands by the throat impeding her breathing in an attempt to restrain her from leaving during a dispute.
Arraigned in Greenport Court before Justice Robert Brenzel, Mr. Warfield was sent to jail in lieu of $1,000 cash bail or bail bond.
*David A. Zukowski, Sr., 45, of Hudson was charged on an arrest warrant for endangering the welfare of a child and third degree attempted assault at 400 State Street by Officer Jeffrey Keyser, September 7 at 8:09 a.m.
Mr. Zukowski allegedly slapped a 12-year-old girl twice on the right side of her face, inflicting minor bruising and swelling, September 4.
Arraigned before Justice Richard Koweek, Mr. Zukowski was released.
*Lisa Richter, 40, of Hudson was charged with fifth degree criminal solicitation and third degree criminal trespass by Officer Nicolas Pierro at the police station, September 13 at 6:17 p.m.
Columbia County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Ms. Richter and turned over to HPD on a warrant for charges stemming from a May 7 incident during which she allegedly asked for assistance from a person at 41 North Second Street to help her obtain cocaine. She allegedly trespassed on the property in an attempt to purchase the narcotics in violation of posted Housing Authority rules and regulations.
She was arraigned before Judge Richard Koweek and released.
*Kevin Shook, 24, of Hudson was charged with petit larceny and tampering with physical evidence by Detective John Funk, Jr., at the police station, September 13 at 5 p.m.
Mr. Shook allegedly stole a cell phone from another person while at the Hess Station on Green Street, September 12, then allegedly disposed of the evidence.
He was arraigned before Judge Richard Koweek and jailed without bail.
*James L. Ban, 62, of Hudson was charged with second degree menacing, five counts of endangering the welfare of a child, fourth degree criminal possession of a weapon and second degree burglary by Officer Jeffrey Keyser at the police station, September 14 at 4:35 p.m.
Mr. Ban turned himself in on signed complaints in connection with a September 10 incident at a State Street residence where police went to check out a 911 call reporting a man with a gun running into a residence. Mr. Ban allegedly entered a common hallway at 340 State Street with a handgun and engaged in an argument with the complainants while five children, ages 2, 4, 7, 10 and 13, were present.
He was arraigned before Judge Richard Koweek and released to reappear at a later date.
*Allison L. Shaw, 19, of Stuyvesant Falls was charged with third degree bail jumping by Officer Jeffrey Keyser at the police station, September 21 at 12:36 a.m.
Ms. Shaw allegedly failed to appear in Hudson City Court August 17 or voluntarily within 30 days thereafter.
She was arraigned before Judge Richard Koweek and jailed in lieu of $250 cash bail or $500 bail bond.
*A 13-year-old Hudson boy, not identified by police, was charged with fourth degree criminal mischief by Officer James Nero at the police station, September 23 at 4 p.m.
The boy allegedly threw a rock at a school bus and damaged a window. He was issued a juvenile appearance ticket to report to the Probation Department.
*Charles L. Gauthier, 35, of Hudson was charged with three counts of criminal mischief at the rear of 335 State Street by Officer Mishanda Franklin, September 24 at 7:37 p.m.
Mr. Gauthier allegedly damaged three vehicles on the 300 block of Long Alley with a crowbar, and then reported to police what he had done. He was issued tickets to appear in court.
*Summer L. Smith, 28, of Cairo was charged with third degree falsely reporting an incident on the 200 block of Long Alley by Officer Tracey Newkirk, September 24 at 8:11 p.m.
Police worked with the 911 Center and determined that Ms. Smith allegedly called 911 on three separate occasions to report emergencies that did not occur.
She was issued a ticket to appear in court at a later date.
In a separate incident, Officer Shane Bower charged Ms. Smith with tampering with physical evidence and criminal possession of a controlled substance at 718 Columbia Street, September 26 at 11:23 p.m.
Hudson Police were dispatched to a business because a woman kept going behind the clerk’s counter and refused to leave. When police arrived, the woman, Ms. Smith, ran into the bathroom and locked herself inside, where she allegedly disposed of a crack pipe by flushing it down the toilet. Police say she possessed a white powdery substance which field tested positive for cocaine. She was issued tickets to appear in court at a later date.
