Thomas Bishop, 64, owned cleaning service, Giants and Yankees fan

RHINEBECK—Thomas Lee Bishop, 64, of Hudson, a wonderful husband and loving father, passed away Monday December 26, 2011 at Northern Dutchess Hospital.

He was born June 1, 1947 in Ticonderoga, a son of the late Laverne and Laura (Diedrick) Bishop.

 

Mr. Bishop had resided in Hudson for the past six years and along with his wife owned and operated Mrs. B’s Cleaning Service. He previously lived in Putnam County for many years and then moved to Dover Plains, where he lived for 24 years. While residing there he was the owner and operator of Bishop Brothers Sanitation based in Wingdale.

He had many varied interests and hobbies including farming, camping, playing the guitar, music and enjoyed his computer. Mr. Bishop was an avid fan of the New York Giants and the New York Yankees.

In 1969 in Patterson, he met and married his wife, Hester (Miller) Bishop.

Survivors include his wife of 42 years, Hester Bishop of Hudson; a daughter and son in law, Cindy Bishop Grassi and husband Joseph of Guilford; a son, Stephen Bishop of Hudson; siblings, Donald Bishop of Crown Point, Florence Monroe of Granville, Caroline Perkins of Queensbury, Patty Judson of Pawling, Barbara Rule of Dover Plains, Shirley Hebert of Ticonderoga, Bobby Bishop of Dover Plains and George Bishop of Granville; nieces and nephews. He also leaves his faithful canine companions, Butch and Chubby.

Along with his parents, he was predeceased by a brother Ronald Bishop and a daughter Tammy Lynn Bishop.

Calling hours are Friday, December 30, 2011 from 2 to 5 p.m. at the Peck and Peck Funeral Home, 8063 State Route 22 in Copake.

A Memorial Service will be offered also on Friday at 5 p.m. at the funeral home with the Reverend Esther Chappuis officiating.

Private interment will be at the convenience of the family.

Gail Killmer, 62, nursing home aide, cook and activity director

HILLSDALE—Gail M. Killmer, 62, a longtime resident of Hillsdale and formerly of Millerton, passed away Tuesday, December 27, 2011 at her residence surrounded by her loving family.

She was born June 26, 1949 in Mahopac, the daughter of Freda (Houghtaling) Harpp of Millerton and the late William Harpp.

On December 22, 1969 in Pine Plains, she married Walter R. Killmer. Mr. Killmer survives her at home.

Mrs. Killmer was previously employed as an aide, cook and activity director for Timberlyn Heights Nursing Home in Great Barrington, MA.

In addition to her loving husband, she is survived by her mother, Freda Harpp of Millerton; a son, Steven Killmer of Hillsdale; a sister, Beverly MacDonald of Millerton; and two grandsons, Shane and Cole Hotaling of Copake.

She was predeceased by a daughter, Brenda Hotaling in 2006, and a brother, Robert Harpp in 2010.

Calling hours will be Saturday, December 31, 2011 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Peck and Peck Funeral Home, 8063 Route 22, Copake.

Funeral services will begin at 1 p.m. Saturday.

Private interment will be in the West Copake Cemetery at the convenience of the family.

Anthony Perrino, 62, landscaper, fisherman

HUDSON—Anthony A. “Tony” Perrino, 62, of Hillsdale passed away Wednesday, December 28, 2011 at Columbia Memorial Hospital.

He was born August 3, 1949 in New Rochelle, the son of the late Anthony J. and Anne (Toften) Perrino.

Mr. Perrino was a local resident since 1974, previously residing in New Rochelle.

With his family, Mr. Perrino owned and operated TP Landscaping on Route 22 in Copake Falls.

He enjoyed working with his landscaping crew and fishing, but most of all loved spending time with his family.

He proudly served his country with the United States Navy.

On May 8, 1971 in Pelham, he married Ilona (Radmanovic) Perrino, who survives him at home in Hillsdale.

Surviving besides his wife is a son and daughter-in-law, Keith and Nichole Perrino of Copake Falls; a daughter and son-in-law, Andrea and Chris Hilla of Kingston; his cherished granddaughters, Sophia Perrino and Natalee Hilla; a sister and brother-in-law, Roanne and David Haines of Harrison, along with several extended family members.

A celebration of Mr. Perrino’s life will be held Saturday, January 7, 2012 from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Peck and Peck Funeral Home, 8063 State Route 22 in Copake.

Private interment will be held at a later date.
