HUDSON—A man was shot in the chest Thursday night and police are looking for whoever did it.
Hudson Police detectives and patrol officers are investigating the shooting which occurred at 310 Columbia Street, Thursday, April 26 at 9:48 p.m.
Police received a 911 cellular call reporting a gunshot victim at the Columbia Street location. Patrols found the victim, a 29-year-old man, who had an apparent single gunshot wound to the chest.
Police rendered aid to the victim, who was alert and responsive, until the Greenport Rescue Squad arrived. The squad took him to Columbia Memorial Hospital and then to Albany Medical Center. No further details about the victim’s identity or condition were released.
The investigation is continuing. Greenport Police and the Columbia County Sheriff’s Office assisted at the scene.
