Richard Albert (1934 – 2012)

HUDSON—Richard F. Albert, 78, of Clermont died August 28, 2012 at Columbia Memorial Hospital.

Born April 12, 1934 in New Britton, CT, he was the son of the late Fredrick and Isabelle (Bibeau) Albert.

Mr. Albert was a member of the Church of the Resurrection of Germantown. He served as deputy district governor of Lion’s Club District 20 “O”, president of the Germantown Lions Club, a member of the Catskill Yacht Club and had served on the Agricultural Committee at Cornell University.

He was plant manager for Entenmanns’s Bakery in Livingston, later became master baker for Research and Development, and was a corporate trouble shooter for Craft General Foods of Bay Shore, Long Island.

Survivors include: his son, Gary Albert of Clermont; a daughter, Deborah Albert Ferriere of Livingston; a brother, James (Brenda) Albert of Maine; cousin, Norman (Deloris) Albert of CT; a niece, Barbara Miller of Warren, Maine; as well as several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his wife, Claudette, who died January 26, 2009, and son, Darren.

Services were Saturday, September 2 at the Church of the Resurrection, Germantown, where a Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated by the Reverend Winston Bath.

Interment followed in the Reformed Church Cemetery, Germantown.

Memorial donations are requested to the American Cancer Society.

Arrangements were with the Yadack-Fox Funeral Home, Germantown.

Daniel Miller (1945 – 2012)

RHINEBECK—Daniel B. Miller, 66, of Livingston died Saturday, September 1, 2012 at Northern Dutchess Hospital.

Born October 4, 1945 in Hudson, he was the son of the late Benedict and Florence (Bradley) Miller.

Prior to his retirement he worked in construction for the Grenadier Construction Company of New York City.

He was an avid deer, rabbit and raccoon hunter and enjoyed fishing.

Survivors include: his wife, Machele (VanWagner) Miller; two brothers, Ronald Miller of Livingston and Louis Perault of Fairhaven, CT; a sister, Marilyn Coleman of Ghent and several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by a brother, Charles and sister, Mary.

A celebration of his life will be held Thursday, September 6, 7 to 9 p.m. at the Yadack-Fox Funeral Home, Germantown.

Alfred Nuccio (1920 – 2012)

SHARON, CT—Alfred  “Big Al” Nuccio, 92, passed away Thursday, August 23, 2012 at Sharon Hospital with his loving family by his side.

He was the youngest of nine children born in Manhattan, January 10, 1920, the son of the late Salvatore and Rosina (Castorina) Nuccio.

He served in the United States Army during World War II in the 821 St. Tank Destroyer Battalion.

On August 23, 1942 in Queens, he married Concetta Connie (Carrozza) Nuccio. They just celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary with family and friends.

In addition to his loving wife, Connie, survivors include: five children, Diana Firth of Copake, Loretta Nuccio of Pine Plains, Marie Nuccio of Pine Plains, Raymond Nuccio of Pine Plains and Robert Nuccio of Clinton Corners; six grandchildren, Patrick Firth of Kingston, Tracy Kaufman of Salisbury, CT, Michael Nuccio of Commack, Conrad, Madison and Skylar Nuccio of Clinton Corners; six great grandchildren, Amanda and Bryanne Firth of Philmont, Johanna and Maebel Spencer of Salisbury, CT, Chloe and Connor Nuccio of Commack.

There are no calling hours.

A memorial service will be held at the Pine Plains Hose Company #7 Lake Road, Saturday, September 29 from 1 to 4 p.m.

Interment will be at the Gerald Solomon VA Cemetery in Saratoga Springs, Monday, October 1, 2012 at 1 p.m.

The family is grateful to the staff of the ICU, the second floor nurse’s station and the kitchen staff for their outstanding care, concern and hospitality. They also thank the Pine Plains Rescue Squad for its service and dedication.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are requested to the Pine Plains Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 100, Pine Plains 12567.
