City police respond to dog bites, drugs and assaults

HUDSON—Mykel L. Blanks, 19, who police say is homeless, was charged with fifth degree criminal possession of stolen property, third degree criminal possession of a controlled substance (narcotic drug with intent sell/dangerous drug) and unlawful possession of marijuana by Officer Daniel Scali at 325 State Street, September 26 at 5:56 p.m.

Mr. Blanks was allegedly in possession of a silver Razor scooter that was reported stolen from the Boys & Girls Club earlier in the day.

When he was arrested for having the stolen scooter, police found him to have marijuana and 62 Alprazolam pills, a Schedule 4 controlled substance. The pills were packaged and ready for sale.

Arraigned before City Judge John Connor, Mr. Blanks was sent to jail in lieu of $10,000 cash bail or $15,000 bail bond.

*Lauren E. Fiske, 29, of Hudson was charged with a violation of Hudson City Code for dog bite by Officer Shane Bower at 44 North Sixth Street, September 28 at 11:37 a.m.

Ms. Fiske’s dog allegedly bit a person’s right wrist area causing the skin to break. The incident was reports to police September 24.

She was issued a ticket to appear in court.

*Michael A. Johnson, 26, of Hudson was charged with fourth degree criminal mischief (intent to damage property) and second degree harassment by Officer Tracey Newkirk at the police station, September 25 at 10:10 a.m.

Mr. Johnson was charged on an active Hudson City Court arrest warrant for allegedly striking a woman on September 23 and damaging her property during a dispute at a Warren Street residence. He was arraigned before City Judge John Connor and released.

*Calvin Bernard Alexander, Sr., 51, of Hudson was charged with third degree assault with intent cause physical injury by Sergeant James Delaney, Jr., at the police station, September 4 at 2:42 p.m.

Mr. Alexander turned himself in on an arrest warrant. He allegedly punched and kicked a person inflicting injury at Bliss Towers.

Arraigned before City Judge John Connors, he was sent to jail in lieu of $500 cash bail or $1,000 bail bond.

*Sean S. Bush, 42, of Hudson was charged with third degree assault with intent to cause physical injury by Officer Jeffrey Keyser at the police station September 14 at 1:12 p.m.

Mr. Bush turned himself in following a dispute in which he allegedly punched, slapped and kicked a woman several times in the face and ribs. The victim sustained several cuts to her lip causing her to seek medical attention and receive several stitches.

Mr. Bush was held to await arraignment.

*Kevin J. Jennings, 26, of Hudson was charged with fourth degree criminal mischief (intent to damage property) and second degree harassment by Detective Jason Finn at the police station, September 22 at 5:13 p.m.

Mr. Jennings was charged on an arrest warrant following a dispute September 18. He allegedly kicked open an apartment door and slapped a woman in the face during an argument.

Arraigned before City Judge Mark Portin, he was sent to jail in lieu of $500 cash bail or $1,000 bond.
