Patricia C. Schmidt (1963 – 2012)

STOTTVILLE—Patricia Catherine Schmidt succumbed to her illness surrounded by her family, after a brave battle, Saturday, October 6, 2012 at her residence.

She was born December 10, 1963 in Queens, where she attended Our Lady of Mt Carmel Elementary School and Mater Christi High School. She moved to Hudson in 1988 and Stottville in 2000.

She attended the Questar III LPN program and received her nursing degree in 1999. Mrs. Schmidt was employed by Barnwell Nursing Home in Valatie since getting her license.

She is survived by: her most loving husband, Phillip; her children, Meagan Schmidt, Justine Davis (and her husband, John), Shannon Schmidt, Phillip Schmidt and Steven Schmidt; her mother, Flora Larkin; her siblings, Carol Brosseau, Janet Larkin (Leon Kruk), James Larkin and Karen Larkin Smith (William); three grandchildren, Faith and Nicholas Davis and Liam Rivenberg; 23 nieces and nephews and several great-nieces and great-nephews.

She was predeceased by her father, James Larkin in 2000, and her sister, Joan Gerrard in 2010.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 am Thursday, October 11 at St. Mary’s Church in Hudson.

Calling hours are 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, October 10 at the Bates & Anderson-Redmond & Keeler Funeral Home.

The family thanks Dr. Linda DeMarco and the staff of NY Oncology Hematology, Columbia Memorial Hospital, and Community Hospice for their care and compassion.

George R. Murynec (1953 – 2012)

ALBANY—George R. Murynec, 59, passed away Monday, October 8, 2012 at St. Peter’s Hospital.

He is survived by: his wife, Christine; son, James; daughter, Andrea (Horowitz) and her husband Jon; two sisters, Marie and Irene; brother, Jerry; six nephews; two nieces; one grandnephew; many friends; extended family and two dogs, Bo and Saylor.

He enjoyed pinball, woodworking, home brewing and writing. He was known for his sense of humor.

The family thanks the staff at St. Peter’s Hospital, New York Oncology-Hematology and friends and family at St. John the Baptist Church.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, October 11, 11 a.m. at the St. John the Baptist Church, Valatie, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by the Reverend John Molyn.

Burial will follow in St. John’s Cemetery. Calling hours are Wednesday, October 10 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the Raymond E. Bond Funeral Home, Route 9, Valatie.
