Man who worked for rec program pleads guilty to sex charge

HUDSON—Malcolm Gray, 20, of Highland pleaded guilty to second degree criminal sexual act, a class D felony, in Columbia County Court, December 11.

Mr. Gray was arrested August 7 by State Police investigators from Livingston and Kinderhook troopers.

He had oral sex with a 12-year-old girl, who was attending the Town of Kinderhook summer recreational program at the Kinderhook Town Park.

At the time of the incident, Mr. Gray was employed by the town and was working in his official capacity as a recreational program counselor.

Mr. Gray, represented by the public defender’s office, appeared before Judge Jonathan Nichols, who set a sentencing date of February 13, according to District Attorney Paul Czajka.
