Robert A. Longwell (1946 – 2013)

HILLSDALE—Robert A. Longwell, 67 of Hillsdale passed away Sunday February 3, 2013 at his residence.

He was born January 27, 1946 in Tarrytown.

Mr. Longwell was a local resident for the past nine years. He previously lived his entire life in Westchester County.

He had many vocations in his lifetime with the most recent bring the owner/operator of Glass Service Concepts in Peekskill.

Mr. Longwell was one of the first residents in the Town of Hillsdale to use a wind turbine on his property to lower his energy costs. The turbine was erected in 2008.

He served as a volunteer for the food pantry at the Hillsdale United Methodist Church and was a former volunteer fireman in Peekskill.

He is survived by: his son and daughter-in-law, Craig and Lori Longwell of Fort Lauderdale, FL; along with his grandchildren, Jesse, Amber and Shaun.

Friends are invited and may call Saturday, February 9, 2013 from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Peck and Peck Funeral Home, Route 22 in Copake.

A brief service and time of sharing will commence at 4 p.m.

A private interment will be held at the convenience of the family.

William H. Hallenbeck, Sr. (1936 – 2013)

HUDSON—The gates of heaven opened for God to welcome William H. Hallenbeck, Sr., who passed away February 5, 2013 at Columbia Memorial Hospital.

He was born March 21, 1936, to Josephine (Krein) and Richard C. Hallenbeck of Hudson.

Mr. Hallenbeck was employed by IBM in Kingston for 27 years, retiring in 1992. He was also employed by Hudson River Bank and Trust for 10 years as a courier, and most recently by the Columbia County Highway Department as a night watchman. He served his country with the Army National Guard.

He is survived by: his loving wife of 55 years, Patricia (Peters) Hallenbeck; daughter, Debra Kisselburgh (David); son, William H. Hallenbeck, Jr., (Pamela) and daughter, Tammy Hallenbeck (Gary Keator); his brother-in-law, Donald R. Peters (Diane); grandchildren, Tara Novak, Kristen Pagliaroni, Kendra Kisselburgh, Christopher and Shannon Hallenbeck, Micha Brooke and Griffen Keator; great-grandchildren, Taylor, Cameron, Nicholas, Tristin, Natalie and Kaitlyn; three nieces and one nephew.

Mr. Hallenbeck was predeceased by a brother, Richard A. Hallenbeck and a son, William P. Hallenbeck.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday February 9, 2013, at 1 p.m. at Holy Trinity Parish St. Mary’s Church. Interment will be private. There are no visitation hours.
