Deirdre D. (Walsh) Jennings (1949 – 2013)
ALBANY—Deirdre D. (Walsh) Jennings, 63, of Columbiaville, passed away Sunday, March 24, 2013 at St. Peter’s Hospital.
Born December 21, 1949 in Poughkeepsie, she was the daughter of the late Anne and William Walsh, Sr.
Ms. Jennings was employed at Craftech Industries in the deburring department. She enjoyed going to the casinos, playing cards and bingo, and crocheting and knitting. She was devoted and loving to her family.
Ms. Jennings was the beloved companion of Bradley Almstead of Columbiaville; devoted mother of Michael (Lenore) Walsh of Kinderhook, Jeffrey (Beth) Walsh of Stuyvesant, Jason Jennings of Columbiaville, Bradley Almstead of Stottville, Nathan Almstead, and Tabitha Almstead of Columbiaville; beloved sister of Maura Kelly of Loudonville and William (Wanda) Walsh, Jr., of Hudson; loving grandmother of Ashley, Kayla and Austin Walsh, Nicholas Jennings, Connor Walsh, Kylie, Jordan and Devin Almstead and Jessica, Kimberly and Edmund Bates. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews and her faithful canine companion, Chico.
She was predeceased by two brothers, Kevin Walsh and Robert Guinvarch.
Visiting hours are 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, March 26 at the Bates & Anderson – Redmond & Keeler Funeral Home.
Prayers will be held at noon Wednesday, March 27 at the funeral home, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 12:30 p.m. at St. Mary’s Church in Hudson. Interment will be in Cedar Park Cemetery.

Lillian M. Murray (1929 – 2013)
ALBANY—Lillian M. Murray, 83, of Hudson, passed away Sunday, March 24, 2013 at St. Peter’s Hospital.
Born in Hudson, October 17, 1929, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Anna Marie Walski.
Mrs. Murray was a machine operator at the Universal Match Factory in Greenport for more than 41 years. She was a lifelong resident of Hudson and was dedicated to her family.
She was predeceased by her husband, Howard Murray; her son, Howard Murray, Jr., and her brother, Edward Walski.
Surviving are: her devoted children, Colleen (Mark) Brewster of East Nassau, David (Venetia) Murray of West Ghent and Lee Murray of Hudson; 10 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and her best friend, Betty Druba of Nassau.
A calling hour will begin at 1 p.m. Wednesday, March 27 at the Bates & Anderson – Redmond & Keeler Funeral Home. Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. at the funeral home.
Burial will be in Cedar Park Cemetery.

Evelyn Shutts Rogers (1925 – 2013)
GHENT—Evelyn Shutts Rogers, 87, of Claverack, died Sunday, March 24, 2013 at Whittier Rehabilitation and Skilled Nursing Center.
She was born September 10, 1925 in Great Barrington, MA, to the late Ethel and Ralph Shutts, Sr.
Mrs. Rogers was a homemaker and enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.
She is survived by: her devoted children, Jeanette Seaman of Hudson, Gayle Rogers of Deltona, FL, John Rogers of Mineola, FL, and Milford Rogers of Hudson; her loving sister, Charlotte Shutts of Hillsdale; her beloved grandchildren, Jason Seaman of Hudson, Darren Rogers of Copake Falls, Matthew Rogers of Copake, Timothy Rogers of East Rochester, Chelsea Rice of Ghent, Jodi Sigler of Mellenville and Angela Roupe of Tennessee, and eight great-grandchildren, Brandon and Alyssa Rice, Madeleine and Chloe Roupe, Britney, Kloe and McKenzie Rogers and Danielle Ellis.
She was predeceased by her husband, Edwin J. Rogers; her son, Claude Rogers; her step-mother, Sylvia Shutts; two brothers, Alfred Shutts and Ralph Shutts, Jr., and her sister, Helen Houghtaling.
Private funeral services are 11 a.m. Thursday, March 28 at the funeral home. A calling hour will begin at 10 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home for family members only.

Raymond Allen Kanarr, Jr. (1930 – 2013)
ALBANY—Raymond Allen Kanarr, Jr. passed away March 23, 2013, at Albany Medical Center.
Born December 11, 1930 in Wilkes Barre, PA, he was the son of the late Raymond Sr. and Lillian Hilborn Kanarr.
Raymond was a 1948 graduate of Memorial High School, West New York, NJ. He enlisted in the Army in 1952, and was accepted to Officers Candidate School. He served as a Second Lieutenant in Korea at Kimpo Army Base.
He was a carpenter by trade and was a foreman with the Empire State Carpenters Union. He also worked for Woolworth Company, and owned Golden Staircase, Inc. in Commack.
Raymond was predeceased by his wife, Joyce F. Barnes Kanarr and his daughter Wendy Joy Kanarr.
He is survived by his children, Raymond Kanarr Crawford, his wife Karla Crawford of Hillsboro, Oregon and Karen Kanarr DeBell and John W. (Bill) DeBell of Chatham, NY, his grandchildren, Kyra and Alyson Kanarr Crawford of Hillsboro, Oregon, Justin DeBell of Glens Falls, NY and Cory DeBell and Zachary DeBell both of Chatham, NY. He will be missed by his sisters, Ina Mae Kanarr Ceeley (Warren) of Bellevue, WA and Marilyn Kanarr Carroll (Mike) of Heyworth, IL.
