COPAKE—The May 8 court appearance of Salvatore Cascino has again been delayed.

Town Supervisor Jeff Nayer send out an email May 1 saying he was notified by the town’s attorney on Cascino matters, Victor Meyer, that the court date has now been rescheduled for July 31.

This time the court has adjourned the Cascino court date due to a scheduling conflict in Judge Jonathan Nichols’ calendar.

The matter was previously put off from March 27 after Mr. Cascino’s attorney asked for a two-week extension and the next available date was May 8.

Mr. Nayer said he found the situation frustrating as the town has been waiting for its day in court for some time.

Mr. Cascino, 73, a scofflaw, who lives in Larchmont was due in court to “show cause” why he should not again be held in contempt of court for continuing to violate town law by dumping, building and excavating without getting proper permits.
