Anna Dedrick (1927 – 2013)

RHINEBECK—Anna Dedrick, 85, a longtime Tivoli resident, passed away Wednesday, May 29, 2013 at The Baptist Nursing Home.

For many years, Mrs. Dedrick worked at the Hudson River Psychiatric Center in Poughkeepsie. She was a former member of St. Paul’s/Trinity Parish, Woods Road, Tivoli.

Born September 21, 1927 in Philmont, she was the daughter of the late Willis and Anna Mae (Aldrich) Johnson.

A graduate of Philmont High School, she attended nursing school in Brooklyn.

She married Philip H. “Manny” Dedrick, October 31, 1959 in Tivoli. He predeceased her November 29, 2006.

She is survived by: her step-son, Wayne Dedrick and his wife Linda of Austerlitz; niece, Jackie Szatko and her husband Buddy of Tivoli; her step-grandsons, Wayne Dedrick, Jr., and Christopher Dedrick and his wife Tracey; her step-great-grandchildren, Eilana Dedrick and Hope Dedrick and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by her step-son, Philip “Teddy” Dedrick, and her brother, Duane Johnson.

Funeral services were held Saturday, June 1, 2013 at the Burnett & White Funeral Home with the Reverend Fred C. Cartier officiating. Burial was at Red Church Cemetery, Tivoli.

Memorial donations may be made to the Dutchess County SPCA, 636 Violet Avenue, Hyde Park 12538.

Lorraine F. Gansinger (1930 – 2013)

POUGHKEEPSIE—Lorraine F. Gansinger, 83, of Craryville, passed away Saturday, June 1, 2013 at the Vassar Brothers Medical Center.

Born April 15, 1930, in Queens, she was the daughter of the late Cecil and Julia (Grau) Bascom.

She married Dennis Gansinger July 23, 1950 in Red Hook and he survives at home.

Mrs. Gansinger was an active member of The Evangelical Lutheran Church of St. Thomas at Churchtown and was an avid contributor to the church’s Crafty Stitches quilting group.

A loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother, in addition to her husband, she is survived by her children: Deborah Gansinger-Hall of Cobleskill and Steven Gansinger and his wife Lisa of Wappingers Falls; her grandchildren, Ethan Hall of Cobleskill and Lauren Gansinger of Wappingers Falls; her sister, Barbara Kiefer of Wappingers Falls; her brother, Cecil Bascom and his wife Jane of Sugarland, TX, along with several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, June 5, 2013 at Burnett & White Funeral Homes, Red Hook. Interment will be at Cedar Park Cemetery, Hudson.

Friends may call at the Burnett & White Funeral Homes on Tuesday, June 4, 2013 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Wednesday at 10 to 11 a.m.

Molly J. Drowne (1922 – 2013)

OLD CHATHAM—Molly J. Drowne, 90, a lifelong resident of Old Chatham, died Wednesday, May 29, 2013 at her residence.

She was born October 14, 1922, the daughter of the late Guy and Ruth (Wheeler) Seaman.

She graduated from Chatham High School in the Class of 1940 and graduated from Samaritan Hospital School of Nursing in 1943.

She was married March 13, 1945 to the late Roland C. Drowne (2010). She was also predeceased by her daughter, Jean (Drowne) Wheeler (2012).

Mrs. Drowne is survived by: her children, Bruce and wife Irene Drowne of Dryden, Lois and husband John Williams of Lowell, NC, Wayne and wife Christy Drowne of Chatham; son-in-law, Russell Wheeler of West Lebanon; sister, Katherine Sanford of Bellvue, WA; six grandchildren, Anita and husband Scot Lueck, Benjamin and wife Sharon Wheeler, Msgt. Adam and wife Lecia Drowne, Marianne Drowne, Jeremy and wife Bonnie Drowne, Kristy and husband Florian Marcard and three great grandchildren, Brandi Jo Drowne, Liam Asher Drowne and Aricin Rainen Drowne.

Services were June 1 from the Wenk Funeral Home Chatham. Interment followed at the North Chatham Cemetery.
