Chatham business hold family Halloween event Saturday

CHATHAM–The Chatham Area Business Alliance and local businesses will hold free Family-Friendly Halloween Celebration Saturday, October 19 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

There will be Trick-or-Treating, a Scavenger Hunt, Prizes, Gifts, Games and Activities and everything is open to the public and free.

Among the events are:

• Trick or Treating throughout the business community

• Decorate a Pumpkin at Chatham Kids 21 Main St

• Decorate a Cookie at Fancy That 25 Hudson Ave

• Guess How Many Apples at Rewraps 32 Main St

• Cookies at R.H. Van Alstyne Fine Jewelry 42 Main St

• Halloween Toy Giveaway at Clocktower Toys and Gifts 1 Main St. (rings, fingers, eyeballs, eye patches and whistles)

• Guess How Many Pretzels Are In the Pumpkin at Beach & Bartolo Realtors 34 Main St

11:00am Spooky Tales at The Chatham Bookstore 27 Main St. with Storytellers Bruce Hallenbeck and Lisa LaMonica

11:00am-3:00pm Scavenger Hunt begins at The Warm Ewe 31 Main St.

Noon-3:00pm Face Painting at American Pie 41 Main St

1:00pm Costume Contest! Meet on the sidewalk in front of Chatham Kids 21 Main St.
