Troop K announces member promotions

PLEASANT VALLEY—Troop K congratulates the following members on their recent promotions and new assignments, effective January 30.

*Investigator William J. Mulrein, III, entered the State Police in January 2002. He was quickly promoted to investigator in 2007, and now serves in the Troop K Major Crimes Unit. Investigator Mulrein was promoted to the rank of senior investigator with Troop K Bureau of Criminal Investigation.

*Sergeant Robert L. Hogan, Jr., a 31-year veteran of the State Police, received his permanent rank of sergeant in 1996. Sergeant Hogan is presently in charge of the Troop K Traffic Incident Management team. He was promoted to the rank of investigator and will serve Troop New York City.

*Trooper Chad M. Drozd entered the State Police Academy in September 2005. Trooper Drozd is currently stationed at SP Kinderhook. He was promoted to investigator and will continue to serve Troop K.

*Trooper Michael D. Castle entered the State Police in August 2007. He is currently stationed at SP Kinderhook. Trooper Castle was promoted to the rank of investigator and will continue to serve Troop K.

*Trooper Timothy J. Milone entered the State Police in June 2004. He is currently assigned to the SP Kinderhook station. Trooper Milone was promoted to the rank of investigator and will serve Troop H.

*Trooper Gary J. Mazzacano, Jr., entered the State Police Academy in December 2003. He is currently stationed at SP Livingston. Trooper Mazzacano was promoted to the rank of investigator and will continue his career with Troop H.
