GHENT–Below are the results of the Tuesday, May 19 school district elections in all six public school districts in Columbia County. An asterisk (*) indicates winners in board races.
Budgets and other ballot propositions in all districts were approved by voters by wide margins. All of the school boards adopted budget proposals that complied with the state “2% cap” on school district tax levy increases.
The Hudson City School District, the only district to report a turnout figure, said that just over 6% of all registered voters turned out for the election.
