Eileen Fix (1932 – 2015)

LIVINGSTON—Eileen J. Fix, 83, of Livingston passed away Saturday, September 19, 2015 at her residence.

Born March 8, 1932 in Hudson, she was the daughter of the late John A. and Evelyne (St. John) Schottler.

She was also predeceased by her husband, William Fix.

Mrs. Fix was a fruit farmer on the Fix Brothers Farm in Livingston. She was a lifelong resident of Columbia County and a member of Mt. Pleasant Reformed Church.

Surviving are: her daughters, Lisa Leggett (Tom) of Greenport and Lori Fix –Mossman (Clint) of Livingston; seven grandchildren, Stacy, Christopher (Kathleen), Karen, and Kyle Leggett and Brandon (Michelle), Aaron and Kaitlyn Mossman; her sister, Barbara Zyko of Greenport; two great-grandchildren, Owen and Caroline.

Visiting hours will be held Saturday, September 26, 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. at the Bates & Anderson – Redmond & Keeler Funeral Home, 110 Green Street, Hudson.

Ahmir Shakim Spann (2010 – 2015)

ALBANY—On Thursday, September 17, 2015, Ahmir Shakim Spann of Hudson gained his angel wings.

He died at Albany Medical Center following a September 13 car accident in Stuyvesant.

Ahmir was born July 18, 2010 to his parents, Tenisha Collins and Rahmel Spann.

Although Ahmir lived only five short years, he touched many lives and will forever live in our hearts.

Ahmir loved all sports, especially football and basketball.   He was the captain/quarterback for the Pop Warner Flag Football Wildcats Team. He was a student in the Hudson City School District.

Visiting time will be Saturday, September 26, 9 to 10:30 a.m. at the Bates & Anderson – Redmond & Keeler Funeral Home, 110 Green Street, Hudson. Funeral services will follow at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Cedar Park Cemetery.

An after funeral repast takes place at the Savoia Restaurant, 214 Warren Street, Hudson starting at 2 p.m. Visit www.batesanderson.com to leave condolences for the family.

Lois G. Kraft (1920 – 2015)

DELMAR—Lois G. (Sherpey) Kraft, 95, of Delmar, formerly of Hudson, died September 12, 2015.

Born in New Haven, CT, she was the daughter of the late Elizabeth (Shufelt) Sherpey and the late James Lott Sherpey of Chatham. She was the wife of the late Christopher J. Kraft of Hudson.

Mrs. Kraft retired from a successful career in banking with Key Bank in Hudson.

She is survived by: her brother, James T. Sherpey of Beverly Hills, Florida; nieces and nephews, Pamela (Lawrence Smith) Plumeau, Patricia (Stephen) Kotecki, Kathryn (Gary) Livingston, Deborah (Robert) Werrbach, Diane (Ken) Willey, James T. (Debra) Sherpey, II, David (Elizabeth) Sherpey, Deirdre (Kevin) Flicker and 16 great-nieces and -nephews.

Mrs. Kraft was predeceased by her brother, Theodore Sherpey and her sister, E. Jane (Sherpey) Brizzie Sullian.

Memorial services will be privately held at the convenience of the family. Interment will take place at Memory Gardens in Colonie.
