Eva G. Quick (1934 – 2015)

LIVINGSTON—Eva Grace Quick, 81, of Stockport died Wednesday October 21, 2015 at Livingston Hills Nursing and Rehab Center.

Born February 24, 1934 in Hudson she was the daughter of Frank and Katherine (Sieber) Bermel.

She had worked at the former orphanage on State Street in Hudson and was a member of the former Baptist Church of Mellenville.

She is survived by: 11 children, 25 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her husband, David Quick, who died in 2009 and a son, Lloyd Flouton.

Calling hours are Friday, October 23, 6 to 8 p.m. with services at 7:30 p.m. at the Yadack-Fox Funeral Home, 209 Main Street, Germantown.

Jane Ann Zietz (1929 – 2015)

LAKE KATRINE—Jane Ann Zietz, 86, a longtime Red Hook resident, passed away Wednesday, October 21, 2015 at the Ten Broeck Commons surrounded by her daughters.

Born March 26, 1929 in Newark, NJ, she was the daughter of the late John and Ellen (Martin) Curry.

She married Peter D. Zietz, June 9, 1951 in Brooklyn. He predeceased her January 19, 1980.

For many years Mrs. Zietz operated the coffee shop in Ferncliff Nursing Home in Rhinebeck.

Active in her community, Mrs. Zietz was a member of the Red Hook VFW Post #7765 Ladies Auxiliary, the Red Hook Senior Citizens, AARP and St. Christopher’s Church in Red Hook.

She is survived by: her three daughters and their spouses, Ellen and Tom Allard of Red Hook, Teresa and Gary Coon of Red Hook and Michelle “Mickey” and Jeff Brown of Livingston; a sister, Ellen Quinn of Wilmington, DE; her grandchildren, Timothy (Jennifer) Allard, Todd Allard, Gabrielle Tompkins, Matthew (Tanya) Coon, Andrew (Kiersten) Coon, Steven (Crystal) Marotta and Nathaniel Brown; her great-grandchildren, Ashleigh Hagadorn, Haleigh Stephenson, Rylee Stephenson, Arlo Marotta, Billy Tompkins, Noah Coon and Kody Coon; numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.

In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by a sister, Josephine Sottung and her brothers, James “Shamus”, Neal, Daniel and John Curry.

Friends may call at the Burnett & White Funeral Homes, 7461 South Broadway, Red Hook, Friday, October 23, 2015 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Red Hook VFW Post #7765 Ladies Auxiliary will conduct services at 7:30 p.m.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, October 24, 2015, 11 a.m. at St. Christopher’s Church, Red Hook. Burial will be at St. Paul’s Lutheran Cemetery, Red Hook.

Craig Henderson (1966 – 2015)

ALBANY—Craig Henderson, 49, of Greenport passed away Friday, October 23, 2015 at St. Peter’s Hospital.

He was born in Peterborough, Ontario, January 7, 1966 to Archibald G. Henderson and the late Iris Bain (Clark) Henderson.

He was employed at the Catskill Central School in the maintenance department. Mr. Henderson was a deputy executive officer of New York State DeMolay, an active member of International Supreme Council of the Order of DeMolay, and a member of Widow’s Son Lodge.

In addition to being a devoted and loving husband and father, Mr. Henderson found great pleasure in mentoring the youth members of New York State DeMolay to develop strong character, confidence and the ability to make a positive difference in the world.

In addition to his father, surviving are: his wife, Elaine Henderson of Greenport; his son, C. Tyler Henderson of Greenport; his daughter, Alyssa E. Henderson of Greenport; his brother, Steven (Donna) Henderson of Hillsdale; two sisters, Susan (John) VanVliet and Dawn (Jeff) Shufelt, both of Ghent; many nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his son, Bradley Henderson.

Calling hours are Sunday, October 25, 2 to 6 p.m. at the Bates & Anderson – Redmond & Keeler Funeral Home, 110 Green Street, Hudson. Services will be conducted Monday, October 26, 10 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be in Mt. Pleasant Rural Cemetery in Greenport.
