OBITUARIES: Wildermuth, Crane, Hawver

Neil Wildermuth (1964 – 2016)

PHILMONT—Neil Wildermuth, 51, of Philmont passed away suddenly Tuesday, February 16, 2016 at his residence.

Born June 21, 1964 in Hudson, he was the son of Louise Wildermuth and the late Stanley “Bud” Wildermuth.

In addition to his mother, Mr. Wildermuth is survived by: his daughter, Kacey Jean Wildermuth; two brothers, Donald and Scott Wildermuth; three sisters, Paula Wildermuth, Jane Harvey and Leigh Schaffer; his nieces and nephews; his best friend, Ronald Montague; several other relatives and friends.

A celebration of his life will be held at a later date.

Kenneth V. Crane, Sr. (1933 – 2016)

HUDSON—In loving memory of Kenneth V. Crane, Sr., born October 8, 1933 and died February 20, 2016.

Surviving are: his wife, Alice; children, Tammy, Debbie, Kenneth V., Jr., (Judith); nine grandchildren; one great-grandchild; his brothers, Donald and Richard.

Visiting time will be Wednesday, February 24 from 3 to 5 p.m. at Bates & Anderson Funeral Home, 110 Green Street, Hudson. Services will follow at 5 p.m. at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Mr. Crane’s name may be made to the American Cancer Society, American Disabled Veterans, or purchase his book, Memoirs K.V. Crane at and those proceeds will be donated to disabled veterans.

Carl Hawver, III (1973 – 2016)

CLAVERACK—Carl “Boomer” Hawver, III, 42, of Claverack died unexpectedly Thursday, February 18, 2016 at his home. Formerly of Columbia Street in Hudson, he was the son of Carl Hawver, Jr., of Conway, SC.

Born in Hudson July 21, 1973, Mr. Hawver graduated from Hudson High School and was recently employed with Advance Auto Parts in Hudson as a sales associate. He will be greatly missed by his father, Carl Hawver, Jr. and step-mother Vernia Moore Hawver of Conway, SC; step-brother, William and (Helene) Wolferstieg of Catskill; step-sister, Stacy Hawver of Conway, SC; many cousins and friends throughout Columbia and Greene counties.

He was predeceased by his loving aunt, Dawn Hawver. Visitation will be Saturday, February 27, from noon to 1 p.m. at the Sacco-McDonald-Valenti Funeral Home, 700 Town Hall Drive in Greenport. Funeral services will begin at 1 p.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Jonathan Hodges officiating.
