Sophie W. Orlich (1920 – 2016)
HUDSON—Sophie Wisowaty Orlich, 95, of Livingston, passed away Tuesday, April 19, 2016 at Columbia Memorial Hospital.
Born August 31, 1920 in Germantown, she was the daughter of Joseph and Adella (Kozanowski) Wisowaty.
She married Anthony J. Orlich November 24, 1939.
They were self-employed owners and operators of service stations in Red Hook and Bells Pond in Livingston. She was a member and past president of the Livingston Fire Company #1 Ladies Auxiliary, and a volunteer at Columbia Memorial Hospital.
Mrs. Orlich is survived by: her son, Anthony Orlich, Jr. of Claverack; three grandchildren, Anthony (Marie) Orlich, III, of Long Island, Shirley (Michael) Sullivan of Hudson and Charles (Amy) Orlich of Westchester; eight great-grandchildren, Kristin Orlich, Lise-Anne Orlich, Olivia Orlich, Sophie Orlich, Maxwell Orlich, Chloe Orlich, Emily Sullivan and Kara Sullivan.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Anthony J. Orlich, Sr., and siblings, Helen, Joseph and Floyd.
Calling hours are Friday, April 22, 4 to 7 p.m. at the Bates & Anderson – Redmond & Keeler Funeral Home, 110 Green Street, Hudson. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered Saturday, April 23, 11 a.m. at St. Christopher’s Church in Red Hook. Burial will be in St. Sylvia’s Cemetery in Tivoli.

Karen E. Tamburro (1940 – 2016)
ENGLEWOOD, FL—Karen E. Tamburro, age 75, of Hudson and Englewood, FL, died peacefully April 20, 2016 at Englewood Community Hospital.
She was born October 20, 1940 in Hudson, the daughter of Matthew and Catherine Leggieri.
She attended St. Mary’s Academy and graduated from Albany Business College. Mrs. Tamburro was employed by the City of Hudson’s Department of Public Works for more than 30 years.
In 1961, she married the love of her life, Angelo Tamburro, also of Hudson, where they resided for 60 years.
She is survived by: her husband, Angelo; daughters, Debbie Davis of Atlanta, and Amy Melino of Kinderhook; three grandchildren, Rachel and Troy Fahey of Atlanta and Nathan Melino of Kinderhook; two sisters, Elaine Leggieri of Winter Park, Florida, and Marilyn Toner of St. Augustine, Florida.
Mrs. Tamburro was a member of Holy Family Church in Stottville, the Hudson Elks Auxiliary and the Greenport Seniors, where she served as the travel coordinator. She enjoyed reading, traveling, the arts and spending time with her family.
Services with be at the Bates and Anderson Funeral Home, 110 Green Street, Hudson, with calling hours Sunday, April 24 from 4 to 8 p.m. Prayers will be offered Monday, April 25, 9 a.m. from the funeral home, followed by a Mass at 10 a.m. at Holy Family Church in Stottville. Interment of ashes will be Wednesday, April 27, 2016 at Cedar Park Cemetery at 10 a.m. Family and friends should meet at the cemetery entrance at 9:55 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The American Cancer Society or the American Diabetes Association.

Margaret Garrison (1930 – 2016)
GHENT—Margaret Garrison, 85, of Hudson passed away Wednesday, April 20, 2016 at Whittier Skilled Nursing Center.
Born October 24, 1930 in Baltimore, Maryland, she was the daughter of the late Orville and Gladys Winters.
Mrs. Garrison was a homemaker and devoted wife, grandmother and great-grandmother. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.
Mrs. Garrison is survived by: her loving husband, Peter Garrison of Hudson; her granddaughter, Sandra Davey and her husband Paul of Austerlitz; three great-grandsons, Brandon Davey, Kenneth Davy and Dylan Davey, all of Austerlitz, and her pet dog, “little rump”.
A calling hour will be held Wednesday, April 27, 2016, 10 a.m. at the Bates & Anderson – Redmond & Keeler Funeral Home, 110 Green Street, Hudson, followed by funeral services at 11:30 a.m. at the First Reformed Church on Green Street in Hudson. Burial will be in Cedar Park Cemetery. Pall bearers include Paul Davey, Dave McMann, Paul Drahushuk, and Robbie Lippmann.

Charlotte Marsh (1918 – 2016)
GHENT—Charlotte Marsh, 98, of Stockport passed away Wednesday, April 20, 2016 at Whittier Skilled Nursing Center.
She was born in Hudson April 13, 1918 to the late Charles and Pauline (Sadowski) Jasinski.
Mrs. Marsh was employed as a clerk at the SS Kresge Department Store (Jupiter’s) in Hudson. She was a member of St. Joseph’s Parish, Holy Family Church in Stottville, the church’s Rosary Society and a member of the Trippers Club.
She was predeceased by her husband, Raymond F. Marsh and her brother, Edmund J. Jasinski.
Surviving are: her son and daughter-in-law, John and Joanne Marsh; her grandson and his wife, Robert and Tracy Marsh; her granddaughter, Amy daCosta; three great-grandchildren, Kyleigh, Brandon and Arianna daCosta.
A calling hour will held Monday, April 25, noon at the Bates & Anderson – Redmond & Keeler Funeral Home, 110 Green Street, Hudson followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 1:30 p.m. at St. Joseph’s Parish, Holy Family Church in Stottville. Burial will be in Cedar Park Cemetery.
