Columbia County Habitat for Humanity held the first of what could become an annual event they call Woofstock, June 18, undoubtedly inspired by the rolling hills of the Black Raven Farm in Ghent where the event was held. The day featured a dog parade, a 1K run and many other contests. There were about 60 dogs and 100 guests. The only requirements were that the dogs be spayed or neutered, well-behaved and on their leash. Events culminated with a best of show selection presented to Flora, the West Highland WhiteTerrier, and her human, Valerie Kerner, of Omi in Ghent. Presenting the award is Marie Bianco (l). The announcer is the event chairman Peter Cervi. Photo by David Lee
