William E. Booth, Jr. (1959 – 2016)

VALATIE—William E. Booth, Jr., 57, of Valatie died Saturday, September 3, 2016 at his home.

Born April 3, 1959 in Albany, he was the son of the late William E. and Lillian (Dott) Booth, Sr.

Mr. Booth worked for Bokland Graphics in Albany for many years. He enjoyed childhood summers at Brant Lake and loved reading his book at his home on Kinderhook Lake and baking.

He is survived by: his sister, Sandra Guerro (Gary) of Cohoes; a niece and nephew, Shelby and Nicholas Guerro; special friends, Thomas McNay and Jeff Buck, both of Valatie, Frank Bailey of Dover, DE, and his “girl,” Krista Usis and many neighbors and friends on Kinderhook Lake.

Visitation hours will be Sunday, September 11 from 3 to 6 p.m. at the Raymond E. Bond Funeral Home, 1015 Kinderhook Street, Valatie. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Kinderhook Lake Improvement Association, P.O. Box 26, Niverville 12130.

Anthony Postighone (1967 – 2016)

HUDSON—Anthony Postighone, 49, was called home by his parents Monday, September 5, 2016. He passed away with his loving family at his side. He will be greatly missed by all.

He was born February 21, 1967 in Yonkers, the son of the late Carmine “Sonny” P. and Angela “Ann” (Apadula) Postighone, Sr.

Mr. Postighone always had a smile and a handshake for everyone he met. He was an avid listener of country music, his favorite bands included: Alabama, Exile and Sawyer Brown. He also loved his game shows, including Match Game, Family Feud, Press Your Luck; and the Three Stooges.

He was a communicant of Our Lady of Hope Church.

Survivors include: his three sisters, Theresa (Paul John) Proper, Jr., of West Copake, Rosemarie Postighone of Hudson and Marianne (Donald) Stickles of Hudson; a brother, Carmine “Butch” Postighone, Jr., of Morris; a niece, Crystal Postighone of Morris; two nephews, Nicholas and Bryan Proper of West Copake; and a great-nephew, Noah Proper of West Copake.

Calling hours are Thursday, September 8, 2016 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Peck and Peck Funeral Home, 8063 Route 22 Copake.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, September 9, 2016, 10 a.m. from Our Lady of Hope Parish, 8074 Route 22, Copake Falls. The Reverend George Brennan will officiate.

Interment will follow in new St. Bridget’s Cemetery, where he will be buried lovingly between his mom and dad.

Vincent M. Scotto (1936 – 2016)

CATSKILL—Vincent M. Scotto, 80, of Dutch Village Hudson died September 4, 2016 at the Pines of Catskill.

He was born January 13, 1936 in Brooklyn.

Surviving are: his constant companion, Katharina Imor; two sons, Paul and Michael (Lisa); a sister, Dora Schultz (Fred); grandchildren Vincent, Jessica, Michael and Michele; nephews, Fred and Bob (Nikki) Schultz; niece, Stephanie Dingman and children, Charlie and Caitlyn.

Calling hours will be held Saturday, September 10, 1 to 3 p.m. at the Yadack-Fox Funeral Home, 209 Main Street, Germantown. Services will follow at 3 p.m. at the funeral home. Condolences may be expressed at yadackfox.com

Linda K. Agostine (1964 – 2016)

NEW LEBANON—Linda Kathryn Bishop Agostine was born November 15, 1964, the daughter of James and Barbara Bishop. She passed into the arms of angels August 30, 2016 surrounded by her family.

Ms. Agostine graduated from Scotia-Glenville High School in 1982 and Junior College of Albany in 1985. She worked for many years in childcare and her passion was being a mother.

She is survived by: her siblings, James Bishop, Jr., (Laura), Julie Furst (Peter) and Laurie Bishop; her children, Kristin Agostine, Danielle Kelts (Matthew), Michael Agostine, Jr., Joshua Holmes, Megan Murdock and Matthew Murdock; her grandchildren, Madisyn Kelts, Hunter Kelts and Grayson Kelts and her niece and nephews.

A memorial service was held Saturday, September 3 at the Nassau Reformed Church, 43 Church Street, Nassau.
